Santa Claus is getting a new spot at EPCOT this holiday season! For the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, Jolly Old Saint Nick will meet guests inside CommuniCore Hall, a change from his recent home at the Odyssey Pavilion.

Guests can meet Santa from November 28 through December 24, with appearances scheduled at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 5 p.m. That means most of the festival season, right up until Christmas Eve, families will be able to snap that perfect holiday photo and share a festive moment with the man in red.

Santa’s meet and greet has shifted a few times over the years. Before moving indoors to the Odyssey Pavilion in 2022, he could be found greeting guests outside at The American Adventure. Now, with CommuniCore Hall open and evolving into a seasonal hub for EPCOT’s festivals, Disney is giving Santa a more polished home for 2025.

While CommuniCore Hall has often been described as a practical (if plain) event space, recent festivals have transformed it into themed experiences. From a gingerbread Spaceship Earth display to Disney on Broadway exhibits, horticulture galleries, and even a summer takeover by Goofy, the hall has slowly been gaining more personality. With Santa moving in, it’s likely Imagineers will give the space a warm and festive makeover perfect for the holidays.

New Cool Ship Kiosk Installed in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom

Tomorrowland just got a little cooler! The iconic Cool Ship snack stand in Magic Kingdom has officially been rebuilt, and its brand-new look has landed in the heart of Tomorrowland.

Earlier this week, the refreshed kiosk was craned into place behind construction walls, where finishing touches are now underway. While it isn’t open to guests yet, we’re already getting a good look at its sleek new design.

New Cool Ship Kiosk Installed in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom

Gone is the retro spaceship-inspired look of the old Cool Ship. In its place is a modern, streamlined kiosk that blends more seamlessly with Tomorrowland’s current architecture. Its teal-and-orange color scheme mirrors nearby structures like the PeopleMover station and Joffrey’s Revive kiosk near Space Mountain, helping to tie the land’s aesthetics together.

Related: Candlelight Processional Reveals Its Star-Studded Narrator Lineup for 2025

The original Cool Ship served up Coca-Cola beverages, novelty snacks, and fan-favorite pretzels before closing in May 2025. Disney has not yet shared an official reopening date or menu for the new version, but with the kiosk now installed, an announcement is likely just around the corner.

This new addition may be a small step, but it could signal bigger changes on the horizon for Tomorrowland. Guests have long speculated that Disney is slowly moving toward a broader Tomorrowland refresh, inching back toward the land’s “future that never was” theme.

The water has been completely removed, revealing the Liberty Belle Riverboat track, much of which still remains in place for now. Along the banks, scaffolding has been erected, large concrete blocks have been staged, and several covered structures under tarp hint at infrastructure work that’s already underway.

Disney announced that Piston Peak National Park will bring guests into the awe-inspiring “wheelderness” of the Cars world, with snowcapped peaks, roaring rivers, waterfalls, and parkitecture-inspired lodges and ranger stations. Guests will find themselves at the starting line of an off-road rally race, with the rugged landscapes of the American frontier reimagined through the lens of Radiator Springs’ favorite residents.

Universal Horror Unleashed: A Vegas Haunt Review

Universal Horror Unleashed

Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas is a game-changer for year-round horror fans, offering a permanent, high-production-value haunt experience. Located in the Area15 immersive district, it’s a departure from the seasonal Halloween Horror Nights (HHN), trading in the park-wide chaos for a more contained, curated, and highly atmospheric event.

IMG

We were recently invited to the Blood Red Carpet Celebration to experience this brand new haunt and we left wanting more. The core of the experience lies in its four haunted houses, each with a distinct theme and scare style.

Universal Monsters at Universal Horror Unleashed

Universal Monsters: This house is less about jump scares and more about theatrical horror and atmosphere. It’s a visually stunning journey through the classic Dark Universe, featuring larger-than-life set pieces and iconic characters like the Bride of Frankenstein and Dracula’s Brides. The design is beautiful and meticulous, making it a great house for those who appreciate story and artistry as much as they do terror.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre at Universal Horror Unleashed

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: For pure, relentless terror, this is the house to visit. The attraction plunges you into the hyper-realistic, claustrophobic world of the 1974 film. The sets are incredibly detailed, and Leatherface is a constant, terrifying presence, appearing around every corner with his chainsaw roaring. This house is a high-octane, heart-pounding experience that will have you screaming from start to finish.

The Exorcist Believer at Universal Horror Unleashed

Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer: This maze leans heavily into psychological horror. Instead of relying on traditional jump scares, the house creates a deeply unsettling feeling with scenes designed to get under your skin. You’ll move through hospital corridors and defaced homes, with an impressive design that manages to be beautiful and unsettling at the same time. The experience focuses on the slow-burn terror of demonic possession.

Scarecrow The Reaping at Universal Horror Unleashed

Scarecrow: The Reaping: Widely praised as one of the best houses (and it was our favorite as well), this haunt transports you to a Dust Bowl-era farm of the 1930’s. The design is spectacular, with a heavy, misty atmosphere and barren fields. The scarecrows themselves are terrifying and seem to be everywhere, emerging from the fog-choked cornfields to deliver sudden and effective scares. This house successfully blends beautiful set design with an exceptionally high scare density.

Atmosphere, Dancers, and Talent

The talent and atmosphere outside of the houses are a major selling point. The entire venue is a meticulously themed warehouse filled with props and artifacts. Roaming scare actors freely mingle with the crowd, adding to the sense of constant dread.

IMG

They are not just there for photo ops; they actively stalk and interact with guests, making you feel unsafe even in the supposed “safe zones.”

IMG

The entertainment extends to live performances, including a show featuring fan-favorite icons Jack the Clown and Chance. The performances are high-energy and entertaining, adding a carnival-like feel to the proceedings. Overall, the talent is top-notch, with performers who are clearly skilled and dedicated to their craft.

Food and Beverage

The food and beverage offerings are “elevated” compared to a typical theme park, designed to be part of the immersive experience. You’ll find a variety of themed bars and dining areas, like The Boiler Bar and the Premiere House. The drinks are creative and have spooky, thematic names like the “Graverobber” and “Severed Pear” cocktails.

Universal Horror Unleashed Food & Beverage Crow's Nest

The food menu includes items like “Boiler Bread” and “Twisted Tater Tacos,” offering a range of shareable and unique bites that feel a step above standard quick-service fare. While some items can be pricey, the quality and theme integration make them a worthy part of the night.

Universal Horror Unleashed Food & Beverage Take a Chance and Jack's Juice

The themed areas at Universal Horror Unleashed are set in an abandoned production warehouse, placing guests in the center stage of horror with many opportunities to interact with the characters, plus electrifying performances. These are also home to the food and beverage locations.

Jack's Alley at Universal Horror Unleashed

Jack’s Alley is set in a twisted dark carnival atmosphere, featuring acrobatic performances and more in a circus-like hellscape where the deranged Jack the Clown and his evil sidekick Chance reign. This themed area also features Jack’s Alley Bar, offering specialty cocktails.

In Kill Vault, guests will be surrounded by rusty knives, machetes, and an array of eerie characters – from a strange surgeon to psychotic slashers – who are lurking in the shadows attempting to lure their next victim. This area also features Rough Cuts, where guests can feast on “chainsaw” carved small plates as they witness a variety of show moments.

At the Prop Graveyard the line between inanimate and alive blurs, as guests face a supernatural collection of unsettling dolls, dismembered mannequins and other haunted objects from abandoned film sets that seem to move as guests walk through.

Premiere House is a tapas bar featuring the horrors of Blumhouse, serving a variety of signature cocktails and a surprising selection of signature shareable bites set in an eerie atmosphere filled with movie props and twisted décor representing some of Universal’s most recent Blumhouse horror films.

Dead Storage will envelop guests in a shadow-filled sanctuary with forgotten set pieces and eerie relics that have been reclaimed by night-dwelling creatures – vampires, a werewolf in mid-transformation, and others that emerge without warning.

The Boiler at Universal Horror Unleashed

At the heart of Universal Horror Unleashed, The Boiler is equal parts hellish spectacle and welcome reprieve, offering guests a perfect vantage point for those seeking momentary respite while remaining immersed in the action, enjoying craft cocktails underneath a monstrous flaming machine.

IMG

And for those who love to shop, check out the all new Universal Horror Unleashed retail store, offering exclusive merchandise inspired by Universal’s legacy as the masters of horror and four haunted houses. You can also shop for a variety of scientific and supernatural artifacts and curiosities including apparel, collectibles, jewelry, accessories and more.

IMG

Take the horror home by purchasing the terrifying collection dedicated to the most chilling franchises in history, including Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer and Universal Monsters. Fans of Chucky who is always lurking nearby is represented via a zipper jacket, hat and notebook donning the iconic overall pattern along with a vintage assortment of merchandise honoring the killer doll himself.

Universal Horror Unleashed is a must-do for horror enthusiasts. It’s a premium, year-round attraction that brings the high-quality production of HHN to a standalone, permanent location in Vegas, making it a different, but equally terrifying, experience. Disney Skyliner to Undergo Scheduled Maintenance in 2027

Walt Disney World has proactively announced the scheduled refurbishment dates for the Disney Skyliner, providing guests with advance notice of the popular transportation system’s downtime. The gondola system will be closed for a brief, routine maintenance period in early 2027, from January 24th through January 30th. This follows a similar planned refurbishment for the previous year, with the Skyliner also closing from January 25th to January 31st, 2026.

These annual closures allow Disney to perform essential maintenance and inspections, ensuring the system continues to operate smoothly and safely. During both closure periods, complimentary bus service will be available to transport guests between the affected resorts—including Disney’s Art of Animation, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach, and Riviera Resorts—and the theme parks, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.

The Disney Destiny, Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, has left the Meyer Werft shipyard to begin sea trials, a key step before its first official cruise later this year.

Earlier this year, the Disney Destiny celebrated its first “float out” as it was moved from the shipyard’s construction hall. Now, the ship is making its way to Eemshaven, Netherlands. From there, it will head to the North Sea for a series of sea trials. The ship was greeted with a fireworks display as it departed Papenburg, Germany.

After completing its sea trials, the Disney Destiny will officially be handed over to Disney Cruise Line. The new vessel is expected to make its transatlantic journey to Florida in late October or early November. The ship’s maiden voyage is set for November 20, departing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.

The inaugural sailing season will continue for several months after the ship’s debut, with special gifts planned for Castaway Club members.
