More ribbons have been installed on Cinderella Castle this week and I just had to share a video captured during one of the installs. These fit just like a glass slipper…. And that’s no fairy tale – our team digitally modeled each turret on Cinderella Castle to achieve this perfect fit.  #DisneyWorld50

Beginning Oct. 1, Walt Disney World Resort will throw “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” in honor of our 50th anniversary, bringing new experiences to our four theme parks and beyond. This milestone is such a big deal, we’ve even coined a new word – “EARidescence” – to describe what you’ll see when you visit. Our Disney teams are creating all sorts of new decorations that will shimmer and sparkle all day and into the night.

Cinderella Castle Decorations

As part of the celebration, Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park will add to its royal makeover from last year. As you can see in this new artist’s rendering, the castle will feature golden bunting and a 50th-anniversary crest as part of its festive new look.

Disney is billing this as ‘The World’s Most Magical Celebration’.

Bacon Waffles have returned to Vivoli il Gelato at Disney Springs. Pocahontas Meet & Greet Returns to Hong Kong Disneyland

Animated Pocahontas

While we impatiently await the reopening of Disneyland and continuously celebrate every milestone of Walt Disney World’s returning glory, there are still plenty of experiences we can’t help but miss. Character meet-and-greets have to be one of the things I miss the most about the parks pre-closure.

Pocahontas Meet & Greet Returns to Hong Kong Disneyland

Anyone with children will have a few special memories tucked away of that one special character their kids just had to meet. Disney Princesses are among the most popular. But while it’s common to see Cinderella or Belle, there are a few princesses that seem harder to find. Pocahontas is one of them, and since American Disney Parks closed in 2020, her usual spot at Animal Kingdom has been closed off to guests. We miss her! But apparently, we’re not the only ones. Hong Kong Disneyland has brought back Pocahontas meet-and-greets!

As one of the few Disney Parks currently operating, Hong Kong Disneyland has been working to slowly bring back character encounters. Right now, there are more than 10 Disney Princesses at the Royal Reception Hall in Fantasyland in Hong Kong Disneyland. These princesses include Rapunzel, Mulan, Snow White, Tiana, Moana, Merida, Jasmine, Anna and Elsa, Cinderella, Belle, Aurora, and Ariel. They are all located inside the Castle of Magical Dreams. Other character meet-and-greets are available around the park as well.

Though we are still waiting for a number of experiences to return to Walt Disney World, it is encouraging to see some of our favorites being revived around the world. Maybe it won’t be long before we’re telling Pocahontas “Wingapo!” again.

‘Black Panther 2’ Director Shares Filming Will Take Place in Georgia as Planned

Ryan Coogler and Chadwick Boseman on the set of 'Black Panther'

Black Panther 2‘ Director Shares Filming Will Take Place in Georgia as Planned. Despite several big names in Hollywood calling for filming boycotts due to a controversial voting bill being passed in Georgia, Marvel Studios Director Ryan Googler has shared why Black Panther 2 will still be filmed in Georgia as planned.

For those who may not know why this new law is considered controversial, a synopsis by EW shares, “The new election law, which was signed on March 25, brings more rigid voter restrictions including ID requirements for absentee voting, a limit on the number of ballot drop boxes, and it prohibits supplying food and water to anyone within 150 feet of the polling place or 25 feet of any voter in line. It also shortens runoff reelections from nine to four weeks. The bill has been denounced by Democrats and voting rights groups, with President Biden even calling it “Jim Crow in the 21st Century.”

This week, Black Panther 2 Director Ryan Coogler wrote a guest column via Deadline, writing: “While I wished to turn my concern into action, I could not do so without first being educated on the specifics of Georgia. Having now spoken with voting rights activists in the state, I have come to understand that many of the people employed by my film, including all the local vendors and businesses we engage, are the very same people who will bear the brunt of SB202. For those reasons, I will not be engaging in a boycott of Georgia. What I will be doing is using my voice to emphasize the effects of SB202, its shameful roots in Jim Crow, and doing all I can to support organizations fighting voter suppression here in the state.”

Ryan continued, “Our film is staying in Georgia. Additionally, I have made a personal commitment to raise awareness about ways to help overturn this harmful bill, and continue to get educated on this matter from people on the ground. I will encourage everyone working with me to tap in with the local community directly affected by Senate Bill 202 and to leverage their influence and resources to aid in the fight for this particular and essential pillar of democracy.”

Jewels and Turret Decorations adorn Cinderella Castle for 50th Anniversary

Cinderella Castle

Cinderella Castle is moving right along on its 50th-anniversary makeover. We were at the Magic Kingdom today and noticed that the turrets on the main castle structure are complete. With the addition of jewels just above the corbel of the towers. A corbel is a stone bracket projecting from a wall or corner to support a beam or simply for decoration. ( The more you know…).

We were able to grab a bunch of photos for you to see the progress of the castle as work is being done. The ribbon has been attached to the main turrets, the stage is almost complete, and the draperies are hanging. All this work is being done for the Walt Disney World Resort 50th Anniversary coming October 1, 2021. Disney is billing it as “The World’s Most Magical Celebration”

Castle Turrets

The new castle redesign features a bolder blue color on the spires and gold accents on top. The inner curtain of the castle also features a new pink hue to help bring new colors to the castle. The drawings show that the flanking towers will also have the same ribbon as the main turrets although not done yet.

As someone who is obsessed with Alice in Wonderland everything, this bouquet is a dream come true! These also look to be forever roses too! Forever roses from Roseshire will last 1-2 years without water! This means we can enjoy watching Alice paint the roses red much longer than a traditional arrangement. The box comes with 5 red roses, and each assortment is also carefully arranged by hand. The display box has a beautiful Wonderland design of Alice painting the Queen’s roses red. I especially love how they left a few white roses in the artwork.

No other details have been revealed, but I can’t wait to jump down the rabbit hole!

These will for sure be on my Mother’s Day wish list!

Do you know someone who would love these enchanting Alice In Wonderland Roses from Roseshire? You can find them online beginning tomorrow April 19th, at Roseshire.com!

Handwashing Stations removed from Disney World Theme Parks

Handwashing Stations removed from Disney World Theme Parks

It appears that guests visiting Walt Disney World will no longer have access to washing their hands except in the bathrooms throughout the parks. The handwashing stations at the parks are being removed.

Handwashing Stations removed from Disney World Theme Parks

Handwashing stations were added all over the Walt Disney World theme parks just before the pandemic closure. The stations remained in place once the parks reopened but are now starting to disappear. If you need to wash your hands, you’ll have to find the nearest bathroom. It also might be a good idea to keep some wet wipes in your Disney bag.

This isn’t the only change happening at the parks recently. Disney has also slightly relaxed their face mask policy. Guests can now take photos outside without masks on! Guests must be socially distanced and stationary for these pictures. Masks are still required for ride photos.

Have you noticed the handwashing stations are gone from the four Walt Disney World theme parks?
