Disney+ Introduces “Verts,” a New Vertical Video Feed to Help Fans Discover What to Watch
Disney+ is rolling out a brand-new way for fans to explore its massive library of movies and shows with the launch of Verts, a mobile-first vertical video feed now appearing in the Disney+ app for U.S. subscribers.
The new feature adds a dedicated Verts icon to the mobile navigation bar. When tapped, users enter a swipeable vertical video stream showcasing scenes and moments from Disney+ films and series. The experience is designed to feel similar to how many people already discover short-form videos on their phones, allowing viewers to quickly scroll through clips, add titles to their Watchlist, or jump directly into full playback.
Verts was first announced during Disney’s 2026 Global Tech & Data Showcase and represents a new approach to content discovery for the streaming service. Disney says the feature is powered by an advanced recommendation algorithm that personalizes the feed based on individual viewing habits, helping surface shows and movies users may want to watch next.
Early testing of the vertical format has already shown promising results for Disney. Similar experiments within Disney+ and the launch of Verts on ESPN in August have both led to increased viewer engagement, suggesting the swipe-based format is resonating with audiences.
According to Disney, the current rollout is just the beginning. While the first version focuses on helping fans discover content within Disney’s vast catalog spanning more than a century of storytelling, future updates could expand the feature to include creator-driven content, additional storytelling formats, and even more personalized viewing experiences.

‘Descendants: Wicked Wonderland’ and ‘Camp Rock 3’ Dance Parties Coming to Disney Springs This Summer
Disney Springs is getting ready to turn up the volume this summer with two brand-new dance parties celebrating upcoming Disney+ movie releases. Guests visiting the Marketplace area on select nights will soon be able to show off their moves during themed parties inspired by Descendants: Wicked Wonderland and Camp Rock 3.
The dance parties will feature music from the upcoming films, transforming Disney Springs into an open-air celebration where guests can dance along to the latest Disney Channel-style hits. While Disney has confirmed the events are coming this summer, specific dates and schedules have not yet been announced.
Descendants: Wicked Wonderland continues the story of Red, played by Kylie Cantrall, and Chloe, played by Malia Baker, following their time-travel adventure in Descendants: The Rise of Red from 2024. The new film shifts much of the story to present-day Wonderland, exploring the ripple effects of changing the past and the consequences that come with altering time.
Meanwhile, Camp Rock 3 brings fans back to the iconic music camp as the band Connect 3 searches for a new opening act for their reunion tour. Their journey leads them back to Camp Rock where aspiring performers compete for the chance to join the tour, sparking rivalries, friendships, and unexpected romances along the way.

The First Trailer for the ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ Revival Has Arrived
The wait is finally over. After years of rumors and cast reunions on social media, the official trailer for “Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair” was revealed today, proving that while the boys may be grown, the chaos is just as loud as ever.
The limited series event is set to premiere all four episodes on April 10, 2026, streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the U.S., and on Disney+ internationally.
The revival finds Malcolm (Frankie Muniz) having spent the last decade doing exactly what you’d expect: shielding himself and his young daughter from the whirlwind of his childhood home. However, his self-imposed exile comes to a screeching halt when Hal and Lois demand his presence at their 40th anniversary party.
Judging by the trailer, the “anniversary” is less about a quiet dinner and more about the same brand of high-decibel family drama that defined the original series.

Disney Shares First Look at Grand Canyon Filming for Limited-Time “Soarin’ Across America” Coming to EPCOT
Disney is giving fans a sky-high sneak peek at the filming process for Soarin’ Across America, the limited-time update coming to EPCOT and Disney California Adventure as part of the United States’ 250th anniversary celebration.
Newly released behind-the-scenes photos from Walt Disney Imagineering show crews capturing sweeping aerial footage through the towering rock formations of the Grand Canyon. One image shows the view from inside a helicopter cockpit as cameras point out over the dramatic canyon landscape, while another captures the aircraft weaving between the canyon walls to get those signature soaring shots.
Imagineers used a mix of high-tech tools to bring the new adventure to life, including satellite mapping, aerial path modeling, specialized helicopter rigs, heavy-lift drones, and a variety of cinematic camera lenses. The goal was to capture America’s landscapes and cityscapes in the same immersive style that made the original Soarin’ attraction a fan favorite.
Like previous versions of the attraction, Soarin’ Across America will pair breathtaking visuals with a custom musical score and signature scents that match each scene, making guests feel like they are truly gliding across the country.
The limited-time film will debut at EPCOT on May 26, just after Memorial Day, before arriving at Disney California Adventure on July 2 in time for Independence Day celebrations. Disney also released a teaser featuring everyone’s favorite Soarin’ flight attendant, Patrick Warburton, welcoming guests aboard once again.
A Wave of Bluey Content and Park Experiences Heading to Disney
For real life?! Disney+ is becoming the ultimate destination for the Heelers this year. Today, Disney and BBC Studios announced a massive expansion of the “Bluey” universe, spanning from your living room to the Disney Parks and even the big screen.
With 45.2 billion minutes streamed in 2025 alone, Bluey continues its reign as a global phenomenon, and these new offerings are designed to keep fans “playing” all year long.
The biggest news for home viewers is the arrival of Bluey’s Big Play – The Stage Show on Disney+. This special televised version of the world-renowned theatrical production premieres on March 16, 2026. Featuring an original story by creator Joe Brumm and music by Joff Bush, the special brings fan-favorite characters to life via world-class puppetry, offering the front-row experience to everyone at home.

It’s time to Mousekedance with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in a new show coming May 26 and staying beyond Cool KIDS’ SUMMER.Inspired by Disney Jr.’s global hit series, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+, the entire family is invited to a party at the Clubhouse with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy and Pluto, filled with original songs, dance and interactive fun.
A Disney Springs Dance Party
When visiting the Marketplace on select nights, guests can break out their best dance moves during a party featuring hits from “Descendants: Wicked Wonderland” and “Camp Rock 3,” in celebration of the new original movies coming to Disney+ this summer.
Disney Friends Make a Splash at Water Parks
This summer, guests can meet Goofy in his laid-back style at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park or catch Stich spreading playful chaos at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.
And for those guests preferring to splash the night away, Disney H2O Glow After Hours returns to Typhoon Lagoon on select nights from June 2 through September 5. The separately ticketed event will bring waves of excitement, with guests being able to enjoy the water park after dark, boogie on the beach and see some rare Disney characters like Powerline Max, Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers and more.
