Get ready for an urban jungle adventure as beloved characters from the world of Zootopia arrive at Disney California Adventure Park! In a special, limited-time offering celebrating the highly anticipated film Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia 2—slithering into theaters on Wednesday, November 26, 2025—guests will have an incredible opportunity to meet their favorite Zootopia Police Department (ZPD) heroes.
Starting Monday, November 24, 2025, the resort will welcome the wonderfully bubbly and donut-devoted cheetah, Officer Benjamin Clawhauser (voiced in the film by Nate Torrence). Lakeshore Lodge Construction Rises High Above the Pines at Disney’s Fort Wilderness
On our latest visit to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, we caught a fresh look at one of the Magic Kingdom area’s biggest upcoming additions as Lakeshore Lodge continues to rise skyward. Tucked right along the shores of Bay Lake, the new resort is now unmistakably towering above the treeline, giving guests their clearest look yet at what’s coming to this long-anticipated project.
If the silhouette feels familiar, there’s a reason. Lakeshore Lodge is the revived and reimagined version of the once-announced Reflections: A Lakeside Lodge, a project that was paused during COVID and quietly restarted last year. With scaffolding up, roofing installed, and large portions of the structure now closed in, it’s clear that Disney is making steady progress toward its planned 2027 opening.
From Fort Wilderness, you can already make out the resort’s split layout. The hotel rooms sit on the left side of the property, closest to the Campground. On the right side, the structure extends into what will become the Disney Vacation Club villas, offering those coveted lake-facing views. Several windows and exterior panels are in place, and you can clearly spot balconies taking shape along multiple levels of the main building.
One of the most interesting features coming to Lakeshore Lodge is the row of planned A-frame cabins positioned directly along the shoreline. These distinctive bungalows appear to be two-story structures, likely with a bedroom loft on the upper level facing Bay Lake. If the early designs hold true, these may become some of the most unique (and in-demand) accommodations on Disney property.
For longtime Disney fans, this location is packed with nostalgia. Lakeshore Lodge is being built on the former home of River Country, the iconic water park that closed in 2001. Today, the area is transforming into a serene and modern retreat, blending Fort Wilderness’s rustic charm with new DVC offerings and resort amenities.
With vertical construction now clearly visible from multiple vantage points around Bay Lake, Lakeshore Lodge is quickly becoming a standout addition to the Magic Kingdom resort area. Expect more details on room layouts, dining options, and DVC sales as the project continues toward its 2027 debut.

Effendi was specifically nominated for Best Instrumental Composition for his piece titled “Opening,” featured on the soundtrack to the newly launched Test Track 3.0.
According to Rolling Hype, this Grammy nomination is the latest in a series of accolades for Effendi, whose growing list of honors already includes two Telly Awards, multiple World Entertainment Awards, and recognition from the Hollywood Music & Media Awards for Best Live Concert and Best New Composer.
