Extended Evening Hours Returning to All Four Walt Disney World Parks in January 2026

If late-night park strolling is your love language, January 2026 is shaping up to be your dream month at Walt Disney World. Disney just dropped a full lineup of Extended Evening Hours across all four theme parks, giving guests staying at Deluxe Resorts, Deluxe Villas, and select hotels even more opportunities to explore after dark.

Magic Kingdom steps back into the rotation with Wednesday nights in January, EPCOT continues its traditional Monday evenings, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios gets a spotlight moment on January 26. Even Disney’s Animal Kingdom sees a continuation of its early-evening version of the perk through late December and early January.

From the quiet glow of Cinderella Castle to the neon hum of TRON Lightcycle Run, these extended hours offer a rare chance to enjoy headliners with dramatically lower waits. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Slinky Dog Dash, Avatar Flight of Passage, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Tower of Terror are all on the available attraction list, making this one of the strongest lineups we’ve seen for the program.

It’s the kind of after-hours atmosphere that longtime Disney fans rave about.

Following its generous $15 million donation in January toward Los Angeles fire relief efforts, The Walt Disney Company has dedicated $5 million of that fund specifically to rebuilding community spaces. This major investment will be used to revitalize Charles White Park in Altadena, along with two other key parks in the area.

Bob Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company, explained why the space was chosen:

“Los Angeles has been home to The Walt Disney Company since its founding more than a century ago, which is why we felt a special responsibility to help this community rebuild in the aftermath of the devastating wildfires earlier this year. For the Lugos, the race has evolved into a treasured annual tradition—one that does more than just promote healthier habits. Mitchelle noted that the shared experience strengthens their family bonds and creates unforgettable memories set against the backdrop of the most Magical Place on Earth.

This year, the Lugo family’s running circle grew even larger, embodying the spirit of Disney’s connected workforce. They were joined by Mitchelle’s leader, John Cogliandro, manager of location planning, along with his wife and their 12-year-old son.

The building’s thirty-five galleries occupy 100,000 square feet. Galleries are named to reflect the human experience—love, family, community, play, work, sports, childhood, adventure, and more.

They will display familiar pieces by beloved illustrators; mural paintings of the 20th and 21st centuries; comic art, of which the museum has deep and extensive holdings; children’s book illustrations; science-fiction illustrations; and the fantastic visions captured in 20th-century culture. The museum will also display cinematic artifacts, including movie posters, and show documentaries featuring artists and filmmakers.
