Walt Disney Imagineering has released a landmark construction update detailing the exciting progress being made on the Avengers Campus expansion at Disney California Adventure.
The Avengers Campus expansion is set to deliver two thrilling new attractions: Stark Flight Lab and Avengers Infinity Defense. Recent photos show the Imagineering team standing proudly in front of the framework for these two ride buildings, which are now visually linked by a newly constructed canopy structure.
The latest news and photos from the Avengers Campus construction site were exclusively shared by Walt Disney Imagineering on their official Instagram account. The caption reads:
“Attention Recruits: Exciting progress in the expansion of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park – the canopy connecting the two new attractions, Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab, is being assembled!”
The ongoing expansion is set to nearly double the size of Avengers Campus at California Adventure, adding two major new attractions alongside existing favorites. The first, Avengers Infinity Defense, is a thrilling 3D battle where guests team up with Marvel heroes to fight KingThanos (a multiverse variant who won). The second, Stark Flight Lab, will feature Robert Downey, Jr. returning as Tony Stark to guide guests through “flight tests” aboard innovative “gyro-kinetic pods” lifted by robotic KUKA arms.
Step into the lobby of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort this holiday season to witness the return of the charming miniature Christmas village! This highly anticipated, detailed display is presented alongside a magnificent Christmas tree and other festive resort decorations.
Situated behind decorative fencing and foliage in the lobby, the Christmas Village is a feast for the eyes. The display features a mix of traditional and Disney-themed miniatures nestled atop a snowy white landscape. A functioning train circles the entire village, chugging through tunnels and under a bridge for about two hours straight multiple times daily. Be sure to spot the delightful details, including a Santa figure deep inside a mountain cavern, a cheerful barber shop quartet, a snowman, and the brightly lit Gummy Gummy Gumdrop Factory with its unique gumdrop pathway.
Crowning the mountain is Elsa’s Ice Palace, flanked by figures of Anna and Elsa, snow-covered trees, and a cheerful candy windmill. Right next to the train tracks sits a Mickey’s Village water tower, marking the Disney section of the display, which includes Mickey and Friends figures and Mickey-shaped buildings. The display is completed by a small operating gondola system, a water tower shaped like a snowman on the mountainside, and the beloved figure of Olaf nearby.
The other side of the display features a beautiful, more traditional Christmas village, complete with illuminated shops, houses dusted with snow, and a centerpiece pair of frozen lakes bordered by geese and carolers. While seemingly non-Disney, be sure to look for hidden details: figures of Kristoff and Sven are tucked away, and the mountain side features Mickey’s GumballEmporium! The area also pays tribute to the host resorts with tiny billboards advertising venues like Beaches & Cream and Yachtsman Steakhouse, alongside functional elements like a stone bridge, a small gondola system, and a delightful gingerbread woman relaxing nearby.
New Episodes of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures Coming to Disney+
Get ready for a binge! The entire third season of Lucasfilm’s animated series, “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures,” will debut on Disney+ starting December 8th. Set in the exciting High Republic era, the show follows Younglings Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and Nubs as they train under Jedi Master Yoda, explore the galaxy, and embark on missions to help those in need. (Note: One episode will also premiere daily on Disney Jr. starting December 8.)
The new trailer hints at thrilling adventures ahead! This season, the Younglings will encounter Rek Minuu, a mischievous master droidsmith, and team up with Dotti, a kind local shop owner known for her droid-fixing prowess, along with her new droid companions: Beepers, Dozer, and Gigi.

Universal Epic Universe Scores Big With Multiple Thea Award Wins
Universal Orlando just added a whole new constellation of bragging rights to its already out-of-this-world year. The Themed Entertainment Association has announced its 2025 Thea Award honorees, and Universal walked away with four major “Outstanding Achievement” wins for Epic Universe and its headline attractions. If the parks had a trophy shelf, they’d need to build a new land just to display all of this.
Epic Universe itself took home Outstanding Achievement for Theme Park, officially cementing its status as the industry’s new gold standard. But that was just the beginning. Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry conjured up an Outstanding Achievement for Ride Experiences, Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment scared up its own Outstanding Achievement for Attraction, and How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk soared away with Outstanding Achievement for Theme Park Land. That’s a sweep that would make even Bowser jealous.
The celebration didn’t stop with the new kids on the block. Former Universal Creative executive Dale Mason received the prestigious Buzz Price Thea Award for a Lifetime of Outstanding Achievement. Mason spent more than 25 years shaping the stories and worlds that fans adore, from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter to Volcano Bay. If you’ve screamed, gasped, or happy-cried in a Universal park over the last two decades, chances are his fingerprints were on it.
Molly Murphy, President of Universal Creative, shared that the wins are a testament not only to the creative team’s imagination but to the deep collaboration across partners who helped bring Epic Universe to life. Since opening on May 22, Epic Universe has been redefining what a theme park can be with its five sprawling worlds: Celestial Park, Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe. With this awards haul, Universal Destinations & Experiences now joins a very exclusive club. Epic Universe becomes the third Universal park to earn Thea honors for an entire theme park project, following Islands of Adventure in 2000 and Universal Beijing Resort in 2023.

Disney Vacation Club Dues Rise Up to 9 Percent for 2026
Disney Vacation Club members are unwrapping some not so magical news for 2026 as next year’s dues have officially been released. Depending on your home resort, you’ll see increases ranging anywhere from 3.36 percent all the way up to 9.06 percent. Consider it the most un-wonderful time of the year for your wallet.
Leading the pack is Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, which just finished a fresh refurbishment and is now sporting the highest bump at a steep 9.06 percent. Shiny new rooms apparently come with shiny new price tags.
On the opposite end of the spectrum are The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness, which opened just this past summer. Thanks to their newcomer status, they’re only seeing a 3.36 percent rise, which in DVC terms practically feels like a holiday miracle.
The across-the-board increases fall within that mid-single-digit range for most properties, with a few nudging toward the higher end. Whether you call home Old Key West, Saratoga Springs, or Riviera, everyone’s feeling that little extra pinch.
While dues rising each year isn’t unexpected, the bigger jumps will definitely have some members making that classic DVC face that says “I love the magic but not the math.”

What’s Included with a Disneyland After Dark Ticket
Each Disneyland After Dark event takes place at Disneyland park, beginning at 9 p.m. and continuing until 1 a.m. That is 4 hours to play the night away, after the park closes!
Pre-party park mix-in: Admission to Disneyland After Dark also includes entry to Disneyland park from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. — giving you a three-hour prelude before the party begins! During this time, be sure to check out offerings available during regular park hours.
Photos from the party: Enjoy unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos captured during the party. That means there’s literally no limit to the memories you can make! Simply scan the QR code on your event wristband via the Disneyland app** to access your photo gallery.
Commemorative event guide: In addition to the uniquely themed fun, your admission ticket also includes a commemorative keepsake and event guide map. The map is handy to reference during the party and so beautifully designed, you’ll want to keep it as a collectible souvenir to remember your visit.
