New Indiana Jones 5 Images Feature Harrison Ford in Action
In a major world exclusive, Empire presents the first look at the epic comeback of Indiana Jones.
The Empire magazine cover finds Indy in 1960s-era New York City, bathed in golden light.
In the new issue, we get the first word on the film that brings the iconic hero back to the screen – and its star promises all the excitement, emotion, spectacle, and unexpected turns that only Indiana Jones can provide. “It’s full of adventure, full of laughs, full of real emotion. And it’s complex and it’s sneaky,” Harrison Ford tells Empire. Stepping back into the world of Indy was no mean feat. “The shooting of it was tough and long and arduous,” he says. “But I’m very happy with the film that we have.”
Little is known about the plot of the new movie, but the footage, which hasn’t been released online yet, shows Ford’s retired adventurer Jones lamenting about his return to staid academic life with Sallah (John Rhys-Davies) from the original “Raiders of the Last Ark.”
“Indiana Jones 5” is directed by James Mangold and is out June 30, 2023. The legendary composer John Williams returns to write the score.
DreamWorks has a new Opening Sequence and Updated Moon Child Design
DreamWorks Animation’s opening sequence is getting a major changeup and upgrade.
The animated logo sequence watches as DreamWorks’ iconic moonchild soars through the stars amongst its celebrated franchises including this year’s The Bad Guys, alongside iconic characters from How to Train Your Dragon, Kung Fu Panda, The Boss Baby, Trolls and Shrek.
DreamWorks’ new curtain raiser will be introduced during screenings of the studio’s upcoming animated feature Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
You can see a clip of the new opener in the video link below.
The Last Wish is a sequel to DreamWorks’ 2011 feature Puss in Boots — itself, based on the fairytale character of the same name — as well as an offshoot to the studio’s Shrek franchise.
“Shrek started the whole thing with really contemporary stories, a realistic look, contemporary jokes. It wasn’t timeless. It wasn’t classic. It was very there and now. And the use of celebrity voices was not really done in that frequency before DreamWorks came on the scene,” DreamWorks Animation president Margie Cohn said. “But what I love about Shrek is that it’s irreverent and spoke to the outsider. It became a symbol of what could be successful — that you don’t have to play by the rules. To me, that is a great banner for the brand.”
Check out the new DreamWorks opener on the big screen when Puss in Boots: The Last Wish hits theaters on 21 December 21, 2022.
Bob Iger just hosted a Townhall Meeting with Cast Members from the Walt Disney Studios Lot in Burbank California. Just before the meeting, Bob tweeted how he is filled with Gratitude and Excitement to be Back at Disney
During the meeting, he talked about many hot-topic issues the Company is facing and even opened the floor to direct questions from Cast Members.
Here is a highlight of some of the things he talked about during the Townhall Meeting for Disney Cast Members:
Planned Hiring Freeze
Bob has no plans to stop the hiring freeze set in place by Bob Chapek. At the time it was reported that “Hiring for the small subset of the most critical, business-driving positions will continue, but all other roles are on hold. Your segment leaders and HR teams have more specific details on how this will apply to your teams.”
Iger said he would uphold Chapek’s hiring freeze for the time being. He also said Disney’s streaming businesses — which include Disney+ and Hulu — should look toward profitability instead of chasing subscriber growth
Inclusion
During the town hall meeting Q&A Session, one Cast Member asked Iger where he stood on the company’s stance on LGBTQ+ inclusion. Without hesitation, Iger said, “One of the core values of our storytelling is inclusion, acceptance, and tolerance. And we can’t lose that, we just can’t lose that.”
As previously announced, the relocation of Walt Disney Imagineering to Lake Nona, Florida, has been delayed until 2026. Iger stated that he has not made a decision and will look into the potential ramifications of relocating to Florida versus staying in California.
Apple Takeover of the Walt Disney Company
There have been talks about Apple taking over the Walt Disney Company for years. Bob Iger said that talk of Apple buying The Walt Disney Company is “nothing more than speculation.”
Park Pass Reservation System
Many fans are quite upset over Disney’s Park Pass Reservation System during the town hall meeting the Park Pass Reservation was brought up and Iger said that he would be discussing the reservation system with Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products.
He went on to say that he has not personally used the reservation system since its inception back in 2020 but has heard good things and bad things about it.
Overall the Bob Iger Townhall Meeting was well received on Social Media by Cast Members and Fans. What do you think? Are there any issues you wish he would have covered?

Jungle Cruise is helping you prepare for your next adventure into the wild by handing out these Jungle Cruise Safari Sacks aka Ziplock baggies.
It is “Mostly backside of water-resistant” safe and even has a space to record your departure date and name.
Cute Jungle Cruise Souvenir
While you don’t get too wet on Jungle Cruise this safari travel sack makes a cute take-home souvenir or a safe place to store your cell phone in case of rain.
Back in 2018 Ziplock sponsored the Splash Mountain ride in Magic Kingdom. They also made bags for the Kidcot Fun Stops in Epcot.
The Jungle Cruise ride is currently operating with a holiday overlay as the Jingle Cruise. This Magic Kingdom attraction is a guest favorite for its punny humor and fun adventure theme.
While it seems like Pirates of the Caribbean is everyone’s favorite Adventureland attraction I have to admit Jungle Cruise will always be my favorite.
I love unexpected complimentary souvenirs. Jungle Cruise being one of my favorite rides I had to save mine.
What are your favorite free souvenirs you have picked up while visiting the parks?

Bob Iger is Filled with Gratitude and Excitement to be Back at Disney
In a post shared on his Twitter just a little while ago, Bob Iger tweeted he is filled with gratitude and excitement to be back at the Walt Disney Company today.
Judging by this post this is the first day back for newly appointed Disney CEO Bob Iger at the Walt Disney Company grounds.
Robert A. Iger returned to The Walt Disney Company as Chief Executive Officer on November 20th, 2022. Mr. Iger previously served as CEO and Chairman of The Walt Disney Company from 2005 to 2020, then Executive Chairman and Chairman of the Board through 2021.
Over his 15 years leading Disney, Mr. Iger was the steward of one of the world’s largest media companies and some of the most respected and beloved brands around the globe. His strategic vision focused on three fundamental pillars: generating the best creative content possible; fostering innovation and utilizing the latest technology; and expanding into new markets around the world.
Mr. Iger built on Disney’s rich history of unforgettable storytelling with the acquisitions of Pixar (2006), Marvel (2009), Lucasfilm (2012), and 21st Century Fox (2019), and the landmark opening of Disney’s first theme park and resort in mainland China, Shanghai Disney Resort; and the release of a number of record-setting films including Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame, Disney’s Frozen and Frozen 2, and the groundbreaking movie Marvel’s Black Panther. Always one to embrace new technology, Mr. Iger made Disney an industry leader through its creative content offerings across new and multiple platforms, including the highly successful launch of the Disney+ streaming service in November 2019 and ESPN+ in 2018.
Disney’s exceptional entertainment experiences, widely diverse content, and unique skill in managing businesses in an integrated manner led to strong results. During Mr. Iger’s tenure, The Walt Disney Company was recognized as one of the “Most Reputable Companies” in both America and the world by Forbes magazine (2006–2019); one of the “Best Employers” in both America and the world by Forbes magazine (2019 and 2018, respectively); one of the “World’s Most Admired Companies” by Fortune magazine (2009–2021); and one of the “World’s Most Respected Companies” by Barron’s (2009–2017).
Mr. Iger was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Disney in October 2005 and was elected Chairman in 2012. In February 2020, he assumed the role of Executive Chairman and directed the company’s creative endeavors until his retirement in December 2021. From 2000-2005, Mr. Iger served as President and Chief Operating Officer. He officially joined the Disney senior management team in 1996 as Chairman of the Disney-owned ABC Group, and in 1999, was given the additional responsibility of President, Walt Disney International. In that role, Mr. Iger expanded and coordinated Disney’s presence outside of the United States, establishing the blueprint for the company’s international growth today. As Chairman of the ABC Group, Mr. Iger oversaw the broadcast television network and station group, cable television properties, and radio and publishing businesses, and also guided the complex merger between Capital Cities/ABC, Inc. and the Walt Disney Company. During Mr. Iger’s years with ABC, he obtained hands-on experience in every aspect of the television business—including news, sports, and entertainment—as well as in program acquisition, rights negotiations, and business affairs. He began his career at ABC in 1974.
Mr. Iger has been named TIME’s Businessperson of the Year (2019); one of Forbes magazine’s “World’s Most Powerful People” (2018); one of the “Top Gun CEOs” by Forbes magazine (2009); one of Fortune magazine’s “25 Most Powerful People in Business” (2006, 2007); one of the “Best CEOs” by Institutional Investor magazine (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011); MarketWatch’s “CEO of the Year” (2006); and “CEO of the Year” by Chief Executive magazine (2014).
Mr. Iger was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in January 2020, and the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame in 2015. He currently serves on the boards of the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Bloomberg Philanthropies, Perfect Day and Genies; and served as chairman of the capital campaign for the new Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. In 2012, Mr. Iger became a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, one of the nation’s most prestigious honorary societies, which recognizes some of the world’s most accomplished scholars, scientists, writers, artists and civic, corporate, and philanthropic leaders. He was previously a member of the Apple board of directors (2011-2019).
In September 2022, Mr. Iger was recognized as an Honorary Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for his services to the UK / US relations.
Mr. Iger is the author of the New York Times best-selling book “The Ride of a Lifetime: Lessons Learned from 15 Years as CEO of The Walt Disney Company,” published in 2019. He is a graduate of Ithaca College.
