New Coffee Shop ‘Carousel Coffee’ coming to Disney’s Boardwalk

Attention Coffee Lovers! There is an all-new coffee shop coming to Disney’s Boardwalk called Carousel Coffee. Following in the footsteps of the Boardwalk Deli which opened this past summer, coffee fans can rejoice that Disney will soon be bringing a new coffee shop to Disney’s Boardwalk Area.

This new location will be guests’ new go-to spot for their favorite coffee beverages, tea options, and some mouthwatering pastries to indulge in. This location will feature Artisan Roasted Joffrey’s Coffee in its yummy sips.

In the coming weeks, you can expect to see the full menu, but I’ve got a few items to share with you early. Carousel Coffee will be serving a Dark Cherry Mocha Frozen Blended Coffee and Whipped Cream. Cool down with the iconic cherry flavor known in seaside getaways like this and a staple of coffee shops, family-owned delis, and ice cream parlors along the shores.

There will be a seasonal rotation of coffees too! You’ll soon be able to enjoy the Cinnamon Bun Frozen Blended Coffee with Whipped Cream. Yes, you heard that right – cinnamon bun! This delicious frozen drink, dusted with cinnamon spice, lets you take in the sweet smell that will make you reminisce about the days of old as you venture down the BoardWalk.

The Nitro Cold Brew Coffee is a freshly batched, extra smooth, dark-roasted cold brew coffee infused with nitro. This coffee beverage takes the rich history of coffee and combines it with the ever-popular nitro cold brews of today.

Tron Lightcycle Run Will Offer Alternative Seating for Plus Size Guests

Tron Lightcycle Run has been seen doing regular testing lately. Bioreconstruct shared a photo showing Tron Lightcycle Run will offer alternative seating for plus-size guests and others that can’t sit in the traditional seats.

Related – A closer look at the Tron Lightcycle Run Construction from the Magic Kingdom

Tron Lightcycle Run Ride Testing

Tron Lightcycle Run will have a vehicle at the back that may be used to accommodate guests whose mobility or size are not compatible with the Lightcycles. Twitter user Bioreconstruct shared the following:

“Most guests will ride Tron leaning forward as if in a Light Cycle. These guests are secured with a backrest that presses forward.

There is a normal upright roller coaster seating option too. Traditional lap bar seating, in the last car.”

The regular lightcycle seats require guests to swing a leg over the seat and ride with two feet in bucket-like stirrups. There is a bar that goes over the thickest part of the calf and guests are restrained leaning forward over the body of the vehicle. The seats are more restrictive than most Disney World attractions. More guests might have a difficult time boarding the ride.

The Light Runner cars at the end of the coaster are instead equipped with a standard lap bar. Those cars may be used to accommodate a larger group of guests who would otherwise be unable to ride.

What do you think about the seats for Tron Lightcycle Run?

Closer Look at the Construction for New Minions Ride and Cafe at Universal Orlando

Construction is now underway at Universal Studios Florida for the NEW Minions Ride “Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast” and Minions Cafe. The new ride is replacing Shrek 4D and the Cafe will be replacing fan-favorite Monsters Cafe.

Here is a closer look at the Construction for the new Minions Ride and Cafe:

Next summer, guests will engage in loads of diabolical fun for kids, teens, and adults as part of Universal Orlando Resort’s newest attraction, Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast.

Developed in partnership between Universal’s award-winning creative team and the acclaimed filmmakers from Illumination, this interactive, blaster game experience will invite guests to put their villainous skills to the test as they compete against each other in a bid to join the ranks of the franchise’s most infamous supervillains.

The world-class attraction transports guests to Villain-Con – the biggest criminal convention on the planet – to take part in an epic competition to see if they have what it takes to become the newest member of The Vicious 6, a notorious group of supervillains from the hit film, “Minions: The Rise of Gru.” Guests who are up for the challenge will grab an interactive blaster and step onto a motion-based pathway to put their skills to the test. They’ll wind and glide through various scenes where they earn points by blasting a variety of items and causing as much mayhem and destruction as possible. It’s a unique, mischief-filled experience that’s so much fun, it’s a crime.

Just around the corner where Monster Cafe used to be work is underway for the new Minions Cafe that will accompany the new attraction.

Here is a closer look along with a different look at the construction for New Minions Ride and Cafe from further in the park:

Breakfast with Woody and Friends!

He’s the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild West! That’s right, grab your cowboy (or cowgirl) hats — and your appetite — for a brand-new interactive breakfast that will debut on Pixar Day at Sea. Themed to Woody’s Roundup in “Toy Story 2,” the “Hey Howdy Breakfast with Woody and Friends” will feature a cowboy guitarist, musical show moments and appearances from Sheriff Woody, Jesse and Bullseye.

In between clapping your hands and singing along to “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” a breakfast with all the fixins will be served! Assorted muffins and pastries are just the beginning, as this new menu is filled with delights from top to bottom. Your family can opt for pancakes, French toast or classic Mickey waffles fresh off the griddle; try the Prospector’s Breakfast Burrito (filled with potato puffs, sausage, scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese); or nosh on Bullseye’s Mini Pancake Tower with bananas, raspberry jelly, peanut butter and whipped cream. Lighter options include smoked salmon with cream cheese, onions and capers; chilled grapefruit; and a yogurt parfait or plant-based berry oatmeal parfait.

Three signature breakfast dishes are also part of the “Hey Howdy Breakfast with Woody and Friends” menu, including a buttermilk biscuit entree with sausage gravy; a plate featuring two fried eggs of your choice on hashbrown potatoes with chorizo; and a plant-based combo featuring scrambled eggs, sausage patties, pancake, hashbrown and grilled tomato.

Advance reservations are required for the “Hey Howdy Breakfast with Woody and Friends.” Guests can book up to 30 days in advance of their sailing, pending availability.

joy-treats

Joy-Filled Treats
Speaking of dessert, with all the entertainment happening throughout Pixar Day at Sea, your family will need to keep up their energy – and these sweet treats should certainly help! Be sure to stop by Sweet on You for a multitude of dessert options that celebrate the beloved stories of Pixar films. The Joyful Lemon Cupcake will spark happiness with its lemon sponge and vanilla crème frosting, while the Toy Story Letter Blocks (chocolate blocks filled with mixed candy) and the Sheriff Rice Krispy Treats Badge will make the perfect Pixar pick-me-up.

Themed desserts will also be available in grab-and-go locations aboard the Disney Fantasy, including Cabanas, Cove Café and the concierge lounge.

California-Inspired Eats
In the evening, a new dinner menu with dishes inspired by the home of Pixar Animation Studios will be served at all rotational dining venues.

Highlights from the appetizer selection include a smoked salmon and smoked trout rillette or baked shrimp mac and cheese. A salad featuring fresh ingredients such as goat cheese, roasted yellow and red beets, pistachios and honey dressing beckons to studio’s roots in Emeryville, California. An array of main entrees will surely satisfy taste buds after a day of Pixar-filled fun, including a seared grouper, Makhani butter chicken, beef tenderloin and cobb salad, while vegetarian options include a “Poke” bowl and vegetable tagine.

pixar-cake

Of course, no dinner menu is complete without dessert accompaniments, and there are several — shall we say — incredible options to note! The signature dessert is a Playful Pixar Ball with baked vanilla cheesecake, blueberry filling and lemon almond cake, while other offerings include strawberry churros, a chocolate pot de crème, pink grapefruit almond cake, poached bosc pear almond tart and a chocolate fudge sundae.

Beginning January 9, 2023, “it’s a small world” will be closed for refurbishment and will reopen as its regular version on January 20, 2023.

The Disneyland website describes the attraction as:

“The Happiest Cruise That Ever Sailed
Voyage along the Seven Seaways canal and behold a cast of almost 300 Audio-Animatronics dolls representing children from every corner of the globe as they sing the classic anthem to world peace—in their native languages.

Amid vibrant backdrops, you’ll travel through country after country, and by journey’s end, you’ll see that it really is a small world after all.

The ride opened in 1966, but additional characters debuted in 2009—thoughtfully placed in the appropriate nations.

During your cruise, keep an eye out for Peter Pan and Tinker Bell in England, Cinderella in her native France, Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket in Italy, Aladdin and Jasmine in the Middle East, The Three Caballeros in Mexico, Ariel and Flounder under the sea, Lilo and Stitch in the South Pacific and Woody, Bullseye and Jessie in the southwestern U.S.A.”
