Rowdy the Reindeer

Rowdy the Reindeer might not have made Santa’s Sled Team this year but he’s here to make your holiday season merry and bright.

More than Meets the Eye

This adorable little guy is hiding a secret. He is more than just a snack. Inside this 3D hollow chocolate, reindeer is a creamy coquito beverage. Non-alcoholic for the younger ones and if you’re feeling a little rowdy alcoholic versions are available. Just make sure to stay off Santa’s naughty list.

Neil Patrick Harris Makes a Joke about Bob Chapek at Candlelight Processional

Neil Patrick Harris returned to EPCOT for the Candlelight Processional once again to serve as narrator for the signature Holiday event. Harris is no stranger to Disney parks, having hosted the event several times before.

In his opening speech, Harris joked about former CEO Bob Chapek, who was recently ousted and replaced by Bob Iger. Neil Patrick Harris said, “Welcome to tonight’s performance of the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT. EPCOT, an acronym, and I’m pretty sure the C doesn’t stand for Chapek,” Harris joked.

Tim Allen Talks About Why Retirement is not in his Vocabulary

In 1994 Tim Allen put on the big red suit in Disney’s The Santa Claus; a film that has spawned two sequels and now a Disney+ series. At 69, Allen recently told Fox News that he has no intention of stopping or slowing down.

Allen loved working with his 13-year-old daughter Elizabeth-Allen Dick on the most recent Santa Claus project. “It was the most amazing thing in the world to see my kid in the summer, and I had very little to do with it,” Allen said.

Allen said Elizabeth was originally going to star as a background elf on “The Santa Clauses,” before being cast as Sandra Calvin-Claus, Scott’s daughter. He said that he did not have any part in his daughter being cast in the series and he preferred to stay away from the auditions.

“She just kept drilling it,” Allen said of Elizabeth. “I mean, literally, it’s like a golfer that constantly is hitting that pitching wedge on the green.”

    Tim Allen

When it comes to playing Santa, Allen said “You know, you get around that suit, and I haven’t changed. It’s become that stupid thing, and it ain’t me,” he began. “I’m nowhere near as nice as that guy. It’s just amazing how I become that guy, walk on set and people react to it, and I honor it. I don’t make any jokes anymore as I watch my performance, and I literally think I’m better as Santa Claus than I am as anything else because I think for any actor to tease or put on a costume, it’s easy to become that thing.”

While putting on the suit to play Santa was easy, taping for Disney+ was more of an adjustment for Allen. “This is a new format for me, and then I can get my head around it creatively. It’s not a television show. It’s not a movie. It’s what we’ve been forced, challenged to do now is a hybrid. It’s a long movie or a very produced, very creatively elevated television program.”

When asked about retirement, Allen turned to his long-standing relationship with ABC and Disney. “Once I started coming to Disney and doing ‘Home Improvement’ or ‘Last Man Standing’ or getting on sets, I love every second of it,” he shared. “I don’t ever feel like I’m working so that I don’t know how to not do this.”

Related: Tim Allen Says Religion Will Play a Big Part in ‘The Santa Clauses’ Disney+ Series

    Tim Allen

Tim Allen still loves to make people laugh and stated, “I don’t know if my buddy [Jay] Leno ever said it this way. He asked me one time, ‘Why?’ I go – ‘I have had a house in Mexico for many, many, many years.’ And he goes, ‘What do you what do you do there?’ And I said, ‘Well, I don’t know,’ and he says, ‘Retire is just another word for die. Waiting to die.’ And I go, ‘You know, I never thought of it that way, Jay. And I wish you hadn’t said that.”

“I have two friends that love their retirement – they play tennis. They get up and have a leisurely breakfast with the wife. They love their retirement. It takes me almost my entire vacation to finally have two days of relaxation because I love what I do.”

It seems like Tim Allen isn’t ready to play tennis just yet, and given that the Santa Clauses has been renewed for a second season, Scott Calvin isn’t ready to hang up his red hat and boots for the courts yet either.

Make these Disneyland Churro Marshmallow Wands at Home

Which do you prefer snacking on at Disneyland: a churro or a marshmallow wand? Now, you don’t have to choose AND you can make these churro marshmallow wands at home!

Marceline’s Confectionery at Downtown Disney District offers a Churro Marshmallow Wand, which is the perfect combination of these sweet treats. This Mickey-shaped marshmallow is dipped in white chocolate, then rolled in a mixture of graham cracker crumbs and cinnamon sugar. It’s a delicious treat that is not only fun to eat- it’s also fun to make.

The talented team at Marceline’s Confectionery shared their Churro Marshmallow Wand recipe with us. My favorite part of this recipe is the homemade marshmallows! The first time I made homemade marshmallows, I was surprised by how easy they were to make. I was also amazed by the taste. The light, fluffy texture of a homemade marshmallow is worth the extra time it takes to wait for the marshmallows to set.

    Churro Marshmallow Wands

    CHURRO MARSHMALLOW WANDS
    Marceline’s Confectionary, Downtown Disney District
    Makes 8

    MICKEY-SHAPED MARSHMALLOWS

    • 3/4 ounce unflavored gelatin
    • 1 cup water, divided
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 1/3 cup light corn syrup
    • Pinch salt
    • 1/2 cup cornstarch
    • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

    CHURRO MARSHMALLOW WANDS

    • 8 large lollipop sticks
    • 8 Mickey-shaped marshmallows
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
    • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/3 cup graham cracker crumbs
    • 1 pound white melting chocolate

    FOR MICKEY-SHAPED MARSHMALLOWS:

    1. Spray a 9×13 inch pan with non-stick spray
    2. Mix gelatin with 1/2 cup of water in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a whisk attachment. Set aside.
    3. In a medium saucepan, stir remaining 1/2 cup of water, sugar, and corn syrup.
    4. Cook over medium heat for 12-15 minutes, until mixture reaches 240°F. Remove from heat and allow mixture to rest for 1 minute, until it reaches 230°F.
    5. Pour sugar mixture into gelatin and water.
    6. Whip on medium speed 2 minutes, until mixture begins to thicken. Add salt. Continue to whip 8-10 minutes, until mixture doubles in size.
    7. Spray a spatula with non-stick cooking spray. Pour marshmallow mixture into 9×13 inch pan. Smooth using spatula. Marshmallow mixture will be very sticky.
    8. Let marshmallows rest for 4 hours, until set.
    9. In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and powdered sugar.
    10. Once marshmallows are set, spread half of the cornstarch mixture on a large cutting board. Carefully flip marshmallows onto cutting board and cut into 8 Mickey-shaped marshmallows, using a 2 1/2 inch cookie cutter. Dip marshmallows in remaining cornstarch mixture and store in an airtight container.

    FOR CHURRO MARSHMALLOW WANDS:

    1. Dip one end of each lollipop stick in 1 inch of water. Skewer Mickey-shaped marshmallows onto each stick, starting at the wet end of the stick.
    2. Mix cinnamon, sugar, and graham cracker crumbs in shallow bowl or pie plate. Set aside.
    3. Melt white melting chocolate according to package instructions. Keep warm.
    4. Dip Mickey-shaped marshmallows into melted white chocolate, gently tapping to remove excess white chocolate. Sprinkle cinnamon, sugar, and graham cracker mixture over all sides of the marshmallows; place on clean parchment paper. Repeat for all wands.
    5. Cool at room temperature for 15 minutes, until white chocolate is set.

Always use caution when handling sharp objects and hot contents. Please supervise children who are helping or nearby.

Florida Pastor and Son Allegedly Used COVID PPP Loans to Buy Luxury House Near Disney World

A Florida-based Pastor and his son have been arrested for allegedly using PPP Loans received by the U.S. Government in a Ministry scam. In total, the Ministry run by Evan Edwards and his son, Josh, received $8.4 Million in relief funds after the pair applied for a $6 million loan and a monthly payroll loan for $2.7 million in PPP Loans. The filing claimed ASLAN International Ministry had 486 employees and required the funds for operation costs, rent, utilities, payroll, and more.

Both Evan and Josh Edwards were arrested at their residence in New Smyrna Beach, FL on Wednesday 12/14/22. The pair racked up 6 charges, including conspiracy to commit bank fraud and visa fraud.

Reportedly, Federal investigators had previously discovered shredded documents, “Faraday” bags filled with electronics, and suitcases with financial information in the vehicle after the family was arrested during a traffic stop back in September 2020 over immigration concerns, but were ultimately released.

Authorities seized the $868,000 down payment intended for the property preventing the sale.

Bob Iger had been working with Disney Executives to oust Bob Chapek for some time

In a recent Wall Street Journal article they share interesting new details behind the coup to oust Disney CEO Bob Chapek by the recently reappointed Bob Iger. Unknown to the public Bob Iger had been working with Disney executives for a while to remove former Disney CEO, Bob Chapek.

While Disney CEO Bob Chapek was leading the company and losing the confidence of fellow employees, cast members, and the board of directors his biggest critic was former CEO, Bob Iger.

Iger did not like the direction Chapek was taking the company and many fellow Disney Executives felt the same way, Disney CFO Christine McCarthy took matters into her own hands and worked with Iger closely to bring him back into the fold.

Recently During the 4th quarter earnings call, Chapek brushed over the fact that Disney had just lost $1.5 billion within Disney’s streaming division. As Disney’s stock began to plummet, more Disney executives grew frustrated with the direction Chapek was taking the Company.

Related – Disney Board Approached Bob Iger on Friday To Replace Bob Chapek

    0515_n13_disney_bob_iger_star_wars_galaxys_edge

In the time just before Iger’s return, major confrontations between the board members and Chapek had started to become frequent. Iger was waiting in the wings to return as CEO and when he received the call from the board of directors he gladly jumped at the chance to return to the helm and get Disney back on track.

While he has a mountain of work to do we are confident that he will right the wrongs of his predecessor. Bad public image, low park attendance, and the streaming services hemorrhaging money are just a few mountains he will have to climb in the months ahead.
