Orlando International Airport Planning $351 Million North Terminal Renovation
Orlando International Airport is preparing for a major makeover, with approximately $351 million in renovations planned for Terminals A and B and their connecting airsides. The project aims to modernize some of MCO’s older spaces and bring them closer to the look and feel of Terminal C, which opened in 2022.

The work will include renovations inside Airsides 1 and 3, along with updates to Levels 2 and 3 of Terminals A and B. Travelers can expect additional seating, new flooring, refreshed wall finishes, modernized ceilings, and improved lighting throughout the renovated areas. Design work for the airside improvements is expected to begin in 2026, with construction starting in 2027 and substantial completion currently projected for 2030.
Restrooms at all four airsides serving Terminals A and B will also be renovated and expanded. The larger facilities are designed to increase capacity as MCO continues to welcome a growing number of travelers. Design work for the restroom project began in September 2025, with construction expected to start in winter 2026 and substantial completion planned for 2029.

The renovations are part of Orlando International Airport’s broader effort to refresh its facilities for the next decade. While travelers may have to navigate some construction zones along the way, the finished project should deliver a more comfortable and modern start to an Orlando vacation.
