Olu Mel now greeting guests at Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa

A new character experience has come to Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa! Guests can now see ‘Olu Mel, a Disney friend of Duffy.

‘Olu Mel plays endearing and uplifting music on his ‘ukulele. He is known to be a bit shy, but he is happiest enjoying nature and making others smile with his music.

Mel is short for “melody,” and ‘Olu Mel got this nickname from Duffy and ShellieMay after they heard his beautiful singing. He finds inspiration for his songs in the rhythm of nature, including the gentle trade winds of Hawai‘i, rolling sounds of waves and the patter of tropical rain on leaves. When he plays, he puts his whole heart into the song, knowing his friends will feel the love in every note.
