It’s almost time for Jungle Cruise Skipper Canteen to open! If you are like me, you have been waiting for more details on this since it was first announced. I love the Jungle Cruise (and the Jingle Cruise during the holiday season)!
Jungle Cruise Skipper Canteen will be opening across from the Swiss Family Treehouse in Adventureland. The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner and will be a table service meal.
The menu will consist of items like Char sui Pork, Steak with Yuca Fries, Stir Fry, Falafel with a Cucumber Salsa, and Pineapple Coconut Cake. Entrees average $15 per plate and desserts $8.
The restaurant can seat up to 220 guests. The seating area is split into different rooms, including the main mess hall and several dining areas split off from it, including one that is a hidden room behind a bookshelf where the Society of Explorers and Adventurers used to meet and a also a Schweitzer Family dining room.
Punchline Punch and Schweitzer Slushie are two signature drinks that can be purchased in signature cups.
Servers will be wearing the same costumes as Jungle Cruise skippers.
There is no official opening date announced yet for reservations, but later in December 2015 walk up only dining will begin. We will release official opening dates and reservations dates as they are available.
