Morimoto Asia Brings First-Ever Sushi Showdown to Disney Springs This September
Calling all sushi lovers! Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs is serving up a brand-new culinary competition this fall with the inaugural Sushi Showdown, a one-night-only event that will crown Orlando’s very first sushi champion while supporting a fantastic cause.

Taking place on Monday, September 21, the event will bring together some of Orlando’s most talented sushi chefs as they compete for bragging rights. Each chef will create both a signature sushi dish and a cooked small plate featuring the same premium fish, giving guests the chance to sample every creation before casting their vote. Attendees will receive a gold coin to vote for their favorite chef, helping decide who takes home the title of Orlando’s first Sushi Showdown champion.
The evening offers two tasting sessions, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. General admission is $125 per person, while a limited number of VIP booths for up to four guests are available for $700. Guests can also enhance their experience with a $25 beverage package featuring six premium sake tastings from Dassai, Hakkaisan, Kubota, Nanbu Bijin, and Soto, complete with expert tasting notes and a custom sake box to take home.

Beyond the incredible food, Sushi Showdown will feature a live DJ, entertainment throughout the evening, and a live auction benefiting Give Kids The World. Even better, 100% of the auction proceeds will go directly to the beloved Central Florida nonprofit, helping provide cost-free wish vacations for critically ill children and their families.
