Sad news for fans of Hollywood Studios’ Mickey and Friends Motorcade: its run is coming to an end next week. On February 12th, 2022, final performances will be given and the parade will retire.

The good news is that Mickey will be returning to a Red Carpet Dreams meet-and-greet situation. Like at other venues, he will be socially distanced but greeting guests one-on-one like he did before Walt Disney World closures in 2020. Minnie has already been greeting guests in her old spot since November. Other characters can be spotted around the park as well, they just won’t be in a motorcade anymore!

Cavalcades have become a guest-favored way to interact with characters since social distancing protocols came into play at Walt Disney World. They filled the void from lost character meet-and-greets as well as canceled parades. While some changes during 2020 were frustrating to guests, cavalcades have become a beloved and surprisingly popular occurrence. No more sitting around for an hour to make sure you have the best spot for a parade; these short performances guarantee that you’ll see some of your favorite characters without having to plan ahead or battle crowds.

The final performance times for the Hollywood Studios motorcade will be 10:15 and 11:15 AM, 12:45, 2:45, 4:15, and 5:15 PM. Be sure to catch it before the last one on the 12th!
