As a mother of young children, I can’t tell you how much I’ve missed the character meet-and-greets at Walt Disney World. No attraction or experience thrills kids quite like meeting their heroes in person. Thankfully, distanced meet-and-greets are slowly returning to Disney World and two more locations will be opening later this month!

While some character dining has returned over the last 18 months, meet-and-greets only started making a comeback in late October. Currently, you can see Mickey Mouse in the Town Square Theatre as well as the Disney Princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall. Both of these are in the Magic Kingdom. It should be noted that these are not traditional meet-and-greets. Guests will be separated from the characters by a rope to enforce social distancing. Disney is referring to this new experience as a “sighting.” You will still get to see the characters one-on-one and get that coveted photo with them, just in a modified way.

On November 19th, two other “sightings” will be opening. One will be at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where you can see Minnie Mouse at Red Carpet Dreams. The other will be at EPCOT inside the Disney Pixar Short Film Festival, where you’ll see Mickey Mouse. I can’t think of two better characters to bring back to the parks!
