Marvel Fans Want Sam Raimi To Direct ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘. After the announcement that Scott Derrickson would no longer direct the sequel to Doctor Strange for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans have been speculating who a good fir for the series would be, especially since Multiverse of Madness is said to be a darker story than most of the films already in the MCU.
One favored choice to direct, that is gaining speed on the internet, is the possibility of getting Spider-Man and Oz The Great and Powerful director, Sam Raimi, to direct the franchise. Raimi has worked with Disney and Marvel in previous years, and would be a fitting director for the Doctor Strange films.

Marvel Fans have been very vocal on twitter about the rumor that Sam Raimi will direct the film and are 100% behind the choice by Marvel, should it prove to be true.
Sam Raimi taking over Doctor Strange 2 is probably a perfect fit cuz Spiderman but interesting Marvel would go with an established name in horror. Two things they tend to stay away from.

There is one massive question regarding Sam Raimi directing Doctor Strange 2.
What's Bruce Campbell's cameo gonna be?
