Making Plans for New Year’s Eve at Walt Disney World Resort

Even though it is only November it is never too early to plan for your New Year’s Eve at Walt Disney World. Lets face it, the parks will be very crowded and may reach capacity. In my opinion plans should be starting to form somewhere around the 180 day mark if you are staying on property! To help you make you decision here are some of the many events happening at Walt Disney World on New Year’s Eve.

• In Epcot the party starts early and goes all night long. With many of Epcot’s restaurants offering special menus, unique entertainment including a light show at the Future World Fountain Stage with DJ, Euro-pop and lasers in Italy, and a Latin band and DJ on the America Gardens Stage. Illuminations will have two showings one at 6:00 p.m and one at 11:40 p.m., followed by a countdown to the New Year and pyrotechnics display.
• Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios the energy is high at the Event Stage with a live DJ and performances by Mulch, Sweat & Shears. Specialty food and drink will be available throughout the park and don’t forget the stunning Osbourne Spectacle of Lights and two performances of Fantasmic! one at 8:00 p.m and one at 10:00 p.m!
• Finally, at Magic Kingdom you are able to celebrate the holiday 24 hours early with a special presentation of “Fantasy in the Sky” fireworks at 11:50 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30. The same show will repeat on New Year’s Eve along with many other events throughout the park.
