The Hurly Burly Jazz Club Transformation Takes Shape at Disney’s BoardWalk

The former home of Jellyrolls at Disney’s BoardWalk is beginning to look very different as work continues on The Hurly Burly Jazz Club. Photos shared by bioreconstruct on X show crews are giving the longtime venue a fresh new look, replacing the familiar blue-and-white striped façade with a darker aqua color scheme and wavy design.

Several of the triangular gables along the upper portion of the building have now been painted in the new darker aqua shade, while the existing white wave details remain in place. Work has also reached the lakeside portion of the building, though some sections still sport the old striped design. The updated colors match the darker aqua paint previously added to the lower level, where wooden frames have also appeared that could eventually support new awnings.

Jellyrolls closed in early 2025, ending its long run as one of Disney’s BoardWalk’s signature nightlife spots. Its replacement, The Hurly Burly Jazz Club, will be themed to a historic seaside theater. During the afternoon, the venue will offer family-friendly games and activities before switching gears at night to become an adults-only live music lounge. Coastal-inspired cocktails and light bites will also be part of the experience.

There is still plenty of work happening behind the construction walls, but the BoardWalk’s newest nightlife destination is beginning to find its rhythm.
