We will miss Mickey and Minnie Mouse greeting together at Town Square Theater, but Magician Mickey is back and he brought a very special friend. You will now have your special memories captured by a live Photopass photographer instead of the “automated camera“.
Disney World fans who had purchased memory maker were outraged when the announcement of the “automated camera” was going to replace live Photopass photographers. How is a box supposed to know when to capture that extra special moment? A box can’t capture a child’s reaction whey they see and hug Mickey for the very first time. Fans even went to lengths to create an online petition that has gathered over 91,000 signatures to bring live photographers back, and their voices have been heard.
What we do not know, yet, is if any of the other “automated cameras” at the other inside meets will be removed and live photographers returning, but we can certainly hope.
Magician Mickey meets throughout the day and even at Extra Magic Hours for those onsite resort guests. It’s always special when you meet Mickey, but now that you know you’ll have the perfect memorable photos, it will make meeting him even more special.
