Live-Action ‘Fate: The Winx Saga’ Series Coming Soon to Netflix. Fans of the animated series The Winx Club have been delighted to hear that the popular Italian-American show would be getting a live-action reboot on Netflix, and in more exciting news, that the series would premiere as early as January 2021!
The animated series was originally created by Iginio Straffi, and “followed the adventures of Bloom, a 16-year-old girl from Earth who discovers she has magical abilities. She then enrolls in the Alfea College for Fairies. Along with her newfound friend Stella, a 17-year-old fairy and Princess, Bloom meets her apartment roommates Flora, Musa and Tecna. Together, they form the Winx Club. During their adventures, they become good friends and get to know some of the boys from another school called Red Fountain, but also encounter some adversaries, including a trio of witches called the Trix.”
The series evolves over several seasons and also received an animated revival series on Nickelodeon in 2009. Now, in 2020 Netflix has been working on several nostalgia based projects including a new sequel to The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl and now a live-action series for The Winx Club, with a new name: Fate: The Winx Saga.
