Kevin Bacon Interested in a Cameo Appearance in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 3‘. Actor and singer Kevin Bacon has been a favorite performer for Director James Gunn for years, so much so Gunn made sure to reference the famed actor and his cult classic film, Footloose, in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

During a recent interview with Esquire, Kevin Bacon shared his reaction to hearing the reference in the film and added that he would love to make a cameo appearance in a Guardians film. When asked if he would ever consider making a cameo in the MCU Kevin shared:
“Listen, I love the idea. I would love to be part of that,” Bacon added. “When I saw Guardians of the Galaxy, I went to see it having no idea that I was discussed. It was an afternoon in New York, I was on 67th Street and went by myself, as I often do… I was like, ‘Holy sh*t. They’re talking about me. Are you guys getting this?'”

James Gunn caught wind of the interview and Kevin’s reaction and posted a response to Twitter sharing his excitement about potentially working with Bacon again on a future film. Gunn’s Tweet read:
“”I met Kevin as a very young man in New York City at a screening. ‘You’re my favorite actor,’ I told him, ‘Along with Mr. Peter Falk.’ He told me he took that as a very high compliment. Loved working with him on SUPER & can’t wait till we can work together again.”
