Kali River Rapids to begin multiple month refurbishment

Kali River Rapids, the high-speed water ride in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, is currently closed for an annual refurbishment.

Kali River Rapids is a river rapids attraction at the Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park of the Walt Disney World Resort. It is themed as a rafting expedition along the Chakranadi River, courtesy of “Kali Rapids Expeditions.” Disney is refurbishing the water ride now since it’s too cold for guests to enjoy the watery adventure during this time of the year.

Skim across an erupting geyser, drift below a canopy of lush vegetation and be whisked along fast-moving rapids. Graze gushing waterfalls and bedrock amid the raging current. Then you’ll plummet down a dramatic 20-foot slope!

According to Disney’s website, Kali River Rapids will be going through refurbishment until April 1, 2021. We’re sure the ride will look amazing in person afterwards.
