This summer Disney is really busy with so many New Wonderful happenings going on at Walt Disney World and this time my Awesome sources are telling me that Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular will be coming to an end by the end of this year. It’s rumored to be closing January 2015. With the closure of the American Idol Experience and Indiana Jones this will definitely create the much needed space for the Star Wars additions that are going to be coming soon to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. With construction set to begin in the spring of 2015, Disney will be making a formal announcement with specific details regarding the new attractions within the coming months.

It is said that the new attractions will fill the entire corner of the Echo Lake area of the park, and will be expanding into other areas of Hollywood Studios, they also said that the Indiana Jones Spectacular has faced closure many times already as it was never intended to last more than 3 to 5 yrs, so it’s time for Disney to really start tapping into the Star Wars franchise and make Star Wars Land a reality.

What do you think of this news? Will you be visiting the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular before it closes?

  1. It’s a fun show, but it was long overdue for an overhaul. HS has always been my least favorite park – almost skippable in my opinion, because there just isn’t enough to see and do. Star Wars Land will really enhance the place.

I think as a ‘tribute’ they should make a space somewhere for the Indiana Jones ride that is currently only in Disneyland.

  2. Does anyone know when Indiana Jones is closing
? I will be visiting this September and hope to see it one last time!

  3. I’m sad to see it go. But I’m glad Idol is going and am looking forward to rejuvenation at the Studios.

  4. 3-5years? I saw it as a kid and I’m now 42. Although I’m a huge Star Wars fan, I for one was very sad to hear that this one was closing.
