This incredible Sleeping Beauty inspired cake is almost too good to eat! This Disney-inspired delicacy was created by Brandon Hardy for his sister, Brittany Hardy, a former Walt Disney World employee, for her 26th birthday!

The cake is designed exactly like the cake from Disney’s ‘Sleeping Beauty’ for Aurora’s 16th birthday. Fauna, the green fairy from the Disney classic, wanted to create the cake without any magic and hence, ended in a unique creation. Though, we aren’t 100 percent sure that Brandon didn’t use any Disney magic, because this cake is almost identical to Aurora’s!

So yesterday was @brittanysofty’s birthday and I knew she’s always loved the Cake the Fairies make in Sleeping Beauty, so I did some engineering and finally figured out how to make it for her. I had to make the broom by hand using things lying around the house because I couldn’t find one the right size or style 😬 I ran into more issues than I care to admit and it didn’t turn out exactly as I’d planned, but in the end it worked and it’s still standing! Although it’s now missing a few slices 🍰 Swipe for the Reference Photo! #HappyBirthday #HappyBirthdayBrittany #SleepingBeautyCake #SleepingBeauty #BirthdayCake #CakeWrecks #Birthday #QuarantineBaking #Quarantine #Cake #Baking #CakeDecorating #Aurora #Disney #PrincessAurora #DisneyCake #DisneyMovie #DisneyReplica #Art #ArtistsOnInstagram #DisneyMagicMoments #DisneyAtHome #AtHomeImagineering

Brandon was able to create this Sleeping Beauty inspired cake because of his experience with designing props and sets for Broadway shows. According to Insider, “Brittany Hardy said that the cake is made with vanilla cake and dyed vanilla frosting, supported by a sheet of cardboard, dowels, and an internal metal support system.”

If there’s anything that we should take away from this amazing creation shared by the Hardy family, it’s this: when life gives you a worldwide pandemic, bake a super awesome cake!
