Howard University Names College of Fine Arts After the Late Chadwick Boseman. To celebrate the life of Chadwick Boseman, Howard University has announced their new College of Fine Arts will be named after the famed actor. Howard University shared via social media, “Howard University is pleased to name the College of Fine Arts after our iconic alumnus Chadwick A. Boseman, whose remarkable career as an actor, director, writer, and producer inspired millions around the world.“
Disney Chairman Robert Iger shared Howard University’s post along with the news that he has been assisting in raising funds for the new Fine Arts Center at the university. Iger shared to Twitter, “Chadwick Boseman was an extraordinary, gifted, charismatic and kindhearted person, with a tireless commitment to helping others. I am honored to help @howardU raise money to build a new home for their College of Fine Arts.“
Actor Chadwick Boseman who stared in Marvel’s Black Panther, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War & Avengers: Endgame movies passed away from multiple organ failure due to colon cancer on Friday August 28, 2020. He was only 43 years old. Boseman died at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side, publicist Nicki Fioravante told The Associated Press. He graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in directing back in 2000.
