This post is brought to you by the letter C! In 2019 Sesame Street is celebrating the 50th Anniversary. And soon there will be a new way to enjoy it as Sesame Street is brought to life in a whole new way at SeaWorld Orlando.
On Tuesday SeaWorld Orlando showed us the active construction site where Sesame Street will eventually be. While everything is still mostly covered in dirt, we were able to walk right down where the actual Sesame Street will be laid.
Here you can see an extra large door just for Big Bird. This is the spot where you will be able to have storytime with Big Bird himself. Along the street there are full-sized buildings, still under construction, that are soon to be the home to multiple merchandise stores. One being Mr. Hooper’s Store. Just outside, you can see the famous 123 Stoop.
Across the street, there will be a few family-friendly rides including Super Grover’s Box Car Derby which will be a kid-friendly roller coaster and Cookie Drop.
Don’t think they’ve left out Elmo. Construction has already begun on a spot for Elmo’s Choo Choo Train. The Sesame Street fun doesn’t stop there. Other attractions include Abby’s Flower Tower, a wet play area, a new playground area, and 2 new food trucks.
You’ll be able to meet some of your favorites like Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster and enjoy the daily Sesame Street Party Parade.
While an official opening date has not yet been released, a spokesperson for SeaWorld reported that they are on schedule to open this spring and will be releasing an opening date later on.
