Guests are Buzzing About the Gingerbread House Displays around Disney Parks, Resorts, and Cruise Lines.

Guests are buzzing about the Gingerbread House Displays featured around select Disney World Resorts and Parks, Disneyland Resorts and Parks, as well as, select Disney Cruise Lines.  Each year guests are amazed with the unveiling of these elaborately themed Gingerbread house displays. When it comes to Disney food, Disney Chefs do not disappoint! The Gingerbread House Displays are no exception.  Chefs deck the halls, roofs, doorways, and windows of these life-size, magically smelling, to good to eat, beautifully decked houses.


Let’s take a tour for a closer look at these amazing houses, carousels, and other confections.  Also, most locations have savory sweets for sale so you can take a little piece of that Disney Gingerbread home.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa– 2018 marks the 20th anniversary of the Grand Floridians enormous Gingerbread House Display.  This house features a classic recipe from Austria, which inspires the ornaments, cookies, and a 14 foot tall house in the lobby.  This display also houses The Bake Shop, which is the perfect place to pick up holiday treats for the family back at home. In addition, The Grand Floridian holds Gingerbread house decorating demonstrations daily from December 1-25th.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort– At this resort Cinderella’s castle is re-created with “It’s A Small World” backdrop.  The Castle is a jaw-dropping 18 foot display with thousands of Gingerbread blocks. Of course Cinderella and Prince Charming are also there greeting guests in the forecourt as guests marvel in delight.  Guests can find a life-size spinning carousel highlighting the display, as well.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort– At this resort you can Donald Duck- and Daisy Duck-themed horses.  The horses are decorated with delectable chocolate, sugar, and fondant in this gorgeous classic carousel.

Disney’s Boardwalk Resort– Guests can look in awe at this dazzling Gingerbread display that features a version of the resorts iconic boardwalk.  Guests will find familiar favorites, such as, the Boardwalk Bakery, The Flying Fish, Trattoria al Forno and more! Which iconic locale did yous spot?

The American Adventure– Located in Epcot, guests can find renditions of the U.S. Capitol, Lincoln Memorial, and the Washington monument!  This is a perfect mixture of patriotic flare and pastry magic!

The Haunted Mansion– At the Disneyland Resorts in California, guests can find a spooky Gingerbread House display right inside the classic Haunted Mansion attraction!  Disney Chefs turned to Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” to create this one-of-a-kind display. This displays comes with a giant spider, complete with glowing eyes, attempting to pry the gingerbread mansion from its foundation!

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa– This display can be located right inside the Grand Californian lobby.  Created with over 600 pounds of gingerbread, this massive house is as grand as California is!  Guests can take their time as they take in the beauty of this Gingerbread House while searching for hidden Mickeys!  How many did you find?!

Snow In Southern California: Winter Is Here At Disneyland Resort

Disney Cruise Line– Aboard the Disney Cruise Line ships, the bakery teams are challenged to create their own individual houses for display.  Each house features over 600 pounds of gingerbread, over 200 pounds of sugar and 5,000 gingerbread bricks. Creativity is endless during this fun and festive time aboard all four cruise ships!

Guests will not be disappointed as they tour through these marvelous houses!  Which display was your favorite? I have to admit, it is hard to pick just one for me, but I would have to pick The Contemporary Resorts Cinderella’s Castle!
