The Hyperspace Lounge aboard the Disney Wish cruise ship is serving the “rarest” and most “valuable” cocktail from the Star Wars galaxy, but it’ll set you back $5,000. But what’s in the drink?
The Kaiburr Crystal (named for an in-universe relic) is actually four drinks, according to Nexstar’s Scott Gustin, who was aboard the special sneak peek this week. He confirmed the cocktail’s contents:
- Camus Cognac 4.16
- Yuzu and kumquat
- Grand Mariner Quintessence
- Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve 23-Year bourbon
- Taylor’s Kingsman Edition Very Old Tawny Port
- Watenshi gin
All of this is housed inside a camtono — a cylindrical storage box seen in the “Star Wars” universe.
But wait, there’s more!
Inside the Camtono are several glasses containing a concoction of high-end cognac, bourbon, port, and a blend of fruits. Guests can keep the silver cups and plate used to serve the drinks (not the Camtono) and will receive additional amenities in their rooms, including a custom bottle of Skywalker Vineyards wine. But perhaps the most enticing aspect of the drink order is that it also comes with an invitation to the vineyard itself.
Skywalker Vineyard is located on Skywalker Ranch, George Lucas’ California Star Wars HQ. It’s not generally open to the public, meaning, along with everything else, the $5,000 order also presents a truly unique experience most people won’t ever get to enjoy.
While a $5,000 drink order seems outrageous at face value, it does offer Star Wars devotees serious bragging rights and a chance to visit the property where much of the work is done on their favorite movies. The novelty and spectacle of what comes with the luxury price tag is enough to grab people’s attention.
