Four New Projects “In the Works” for Marvel Studios Phase 4 After Release Schedule Changes. Marvel fans were shocked and surprised to see several big titles such as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder pushed back on the Marvel Studios theatrical release schedule. Despite these changes, several other projects including new movies and Disney+ original series are still in development and won’t be making it to the chopping block.

Though two movie slots were removed or replaced from Marvel’s theater schedule, the studio has shared that they are actively working on a Shang-Chi sequel as well as the upcoming Fantastic 4 reboot for the MCU. On the Disney+ side of things, General Okoye, played by Danai Gurira, will be the leading character in the upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever spin-off series, Kingdom of Wakanda. Rumored to be in the works after the premiere of Armor Wars starring Don Cheadle is a Thunderbolts film that will feature characters from some of the more recent titles and upcoming projects. Another rumored movie is World War Hulk, but likely we wouldn’t see this title join the MCU until Phase 5 along with Deadpool 3. The last and final of the four new titles coming from Marvel Studios includes either a film or series featuring Nova, who will reportedly be played by Disney Alumni Zac Efron.
