I’m sure most of you know about the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, but have you heard about the Food and Wine Classic at Disney World’s Swan and Dolphin Resort? The Swan and Dolphin Resort at Walt Disney World will be hosting its Fourth Annual Food and Wine Classic October 18-19, 2013.
At the Food and Wine Classic, you will be able to sample wines from around the world and savor culinary artistry from pastries to pasta. The event will be held on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm. The Food and Wine Classic will also offer eight educational seminars which will prepare you to impress your friends with your knowledge of wines, cocktails, and beer. All of the seminars will begin at 4:30 pm and last approximately one hour.
The outdoor festival will feature events including food and beverage seminars, food and wine tastings, and live music. The seminars will be led by the hotel’s chefs and certified beverage experts. The hotel’s award-winning restaurants will also showcase signature culinary selections to pair with tastings from more than 30 wineries. Celebrity Chef Todd English, whose restaurant Todd English’s bluezoo is located in the hotel, will be in attendance.
You can purchase packages which are available for overnight guests wishing to stay at Disney’s Swan and Dolphin. However, tickets are available for purchase for individual events and seminars if you prefer to stay at another Walt Disney World Resort. The cost to attend seminars is $42.40. Ticket to the Saturday and Sunday causeway stroll is $80.04 each day. Tasting tickets are $2 each and food offerings range from two to four tickets per item.
