Some fans may be asking, who is this new masked hero? Comic book fans easily recognize this as Spider-Man 2099, aka Miguel O’Hara, a geneticist from the alternate universe New York named Nueva York. In the comics, Miguel was working on recreating the events of the original Spider-Man’s origin of receiving spider-like abilities when he himself is altered due to an accident with the experiment. Spider-Man 2099 appeared in a post credit scene of the original film and was voiced by Oscar Isaac who will likely be voicing the character for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2.
