Emilio Estevez Will Not Return for Season 2 of ‘Mighty Ducks’ Over Vaccine Requirements. Disney+ is gearing up to begin filming for the second season of The Might Ducks: Game Changers but without one of the show’s biggest stars. Emilio Estevez has shared he will not be reprising his role as Gordon Bombay.
Reportedly, Estevez’s primary reason for not returning in Season 2 is his disagreement over ABC Signature’s COVID-19 vaccination requirement, which has led to the decline of a contract renewal as the show progresses. Currently, The Might Ducks: Game Changers is still a go for season 2 and is set to see the return of Lauren Graham, Brady Noon, Maxwell Simkins, Swayam Bhatia, Julee Cerda, Luke Islam, Bella Higginbotham, Taegen Burns, Kiefer O’Reilly and De’Jon Watts.
