Showrunner Shares Kenan Thompson Will Join the Cast if Season 2 is Approved for ‘The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers‘. Many of the original cast members from The Mighty Ducks trilogy returned for the nostalgic Disney+ series The Mighty Ducks: Game Changer, but both Joshua Jackson (Charlie Conway) and Kenan Thompson (Russ Tyler) were notably missing from the first season of the series.
The series showrunner Skyler Shuler has teased there is more to come, including the return of Kenan Thompson. during an interview with TVLine Sklyer shared, “Kenan and I [talked about it]… he could come in next season and do at least an episode. He said he would, so I’m going to hold him to it.” Shuler also shared a post via Twitter with a gif from the series along with the caption, “Yo [Disney+] go ahead and announce season two of The Mighty Ducks!”
Currently the entire first season of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers is available to stream via Disney+. “After 12-year-old Evan Morrow (Brady Noon) is unceremoniously cut from the Ducks, he and his mom, Alex (Lauren Graham), set out to build their own team of misfits to challenge the cutthroat, win-at-all-costs culture of youth sports today.”
Disney has not made any official announcements regarding the future of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, but be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and all things Disney+!
