Not many of us are old enough to remember seeing Disney classic like Sleeping Beauty on a big screen. But what if you could? I mean, sure, we’d watch Disney movies anywhere and anyway, but how cool would it be to see some of the classics come back to life on the big screen?
Well, the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles is giving Disney fans a chance to experience it! Through special dates taking place this winter, the theatre will be playing some of your favorite Disney films during their event so aptly entitled ‘Happily Ever After.’
Classics such as The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, Lady and the Tramp, Beauty and the Beast, and Cinderella will all be rolled back into their theatre beginning January 18th.
Here’s a breakdown of dates for each film and when they will be showing via OhMyDisney:
The Little Mermaid – January 18 – January 31
Sleeping Beauty – Only one night only, to celebrate its 60th anniversary on January 29th
Beauty and Beast – February 1 – February 10
Lady and the Tramp – February 11 – February 18
Cinderella – February 28 – March 3
So, why not start making plans now to…get your popcorn ready! We’ll be sitting on the first row read to watch each! But similar to a bad infomercial, “Wait, there’s more!” In addition to the screenings of each film, the theatre will also offer character meet and greets! Cinderella, Ariel, Aurora, and Belle will all be present to take photos and help make the experience even more memorable! So, seriously…what are you waiting for!?
