Howdy Folks! Anonymouse here with some Disney Vacation Club gossip for you. Will DVC build a resort at Epcot?
My sources say it’s a possibility. The rumor has been floating around for a few years now, but will all the new DVC construction, it’s sprung up again. It’s believed that the new DVC resort will be past the back gate of Epcot in World Showcase.
You are probably asking me, Where? Is there space back there for another resort? It would seem so. Between Disney’s Boardwalk Resort and Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a parcel of land that would be big enough to accommodate a DVC Resort – possibly the size of the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

@Anonymouse – Are you saying the same side of E Buena Vista St as Boardwalk is? Or the opposite/same side as the Studios?
It’s my understanding that Hollywood Studios will have an entire ‘star wars’ area in the near future with more star wars themed attractions and restaurants.
i’d rather see an entirely new park, rather than yet another resort, dvc or otherwise. or as mentioned below, renovations and upgrades to current attractions.
I’m not a DVC member and not likely to become one, since I’m local. However, it really seems as if Disney is building DVC properties like crazy–and yes, they’ve been updating MK, but what about the Studios? Isn’t it time for some updates there? And I know all about Avatar-land at the AK, but I just don’t understand their focus on these few things. I love the New Fantasyland, don’t get me wrong (well, except for the new Little Mermaid attraction, which I found horribly disappointing), but there are SO many more things they could do besides building new DVC resorts.
