Hocus Pocus Frappuccino

”Sisters, we’ve been gone 300 years.” The Sanderson sisters are back but in Frappuccino form! Ask any family in America what their favorite Halloween film is and you’re sure to hear the words ”Hocus Pocus” at the top of the list. Lots of families have already been streaming the movie on Disney+ this season, and excitement about the upcoming sequel is palpable. The only thing missing is an appropriately-themed snack to go with our viewing. Since children are definitely off the menu (we may love the Sanserson sisters, but not like that) we will have to resort to creating something in honor of the film instead. Enter the Hocus Pocus Frappuccinos.

These are fan-created secret menu items from Starbucks, which means anyone who wishes to try them must be able to tell the barista exactly how to make them. Recipes by Totally the Bomb celebrate all three Sanderson sisters in both taste and appearance.

Winifred, the bold redheaded leader of the group starts off with a Grande Green Tea Frappuccino and then add one pump of white mocha and one pump of peppermint syrup. Top with whipped cream and strawberry inclusions. The unique and refreshing taste is certainly as audacious as Winifred herself, while the green drink is reminiscent of her dress and the strawberries are an absolute picture of her bright red hair.

To make a Sarah Sanderson Frappuccino, get the Violet Drink with extra berries to symbolize her purple dress. Substitute the coconut milk for soy milk and have them double blend the drink. Top with whipped cream and ginger to look like her bright blonde hair. This drink is sweeter and youthful, just like Sarah herself.

To make a Mary Sanderson Frappuccino, order a Grande Strawberries and Cream Frappuccino. Ask for strawberry inclusions and substitute the sweetener for white mocha. Have the barista put mocha drizzle and strawberry puree on both the bottom and top of the drink. This one tastes like chocolate-covered strawberries, which is as over-the-top and delightful as Mary. Given how much she enjoys the ”chocolate-covered finger of a man named Clark,” we think she would approve.

These Frappuccinos are sure to cast a spell on you, no matter which Starbucks location you choose. Just be sure to know the recipe for the sister of your choice! And be sure to have plenty of salt on hand to keep the real Sandersons at bay!
