Tatiana Maslany Cast as Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk for New Disney+ Marvel Studios Series. Marvel Studios and Disney+ have found their She-Hulk! Orphan Black actor, Tatiana Maslany, has been cast as Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk in the new Marvel series coming soon to Disney+.
According to ComicBook.com, “She-Hulk is going to follow Jennifer Walters, who is the cousin of Bruce Banner, aka The Hulk. Jennifer, a lawyer, gets a blood transfusion from Bruce, which ultimately gives her similar powers. Unlike most versions of the Hulk, however, Jennifer remains intelligent and in control when she hulks out.”
This does parallel a comment from Marvel Star Mark Ruffalo (Hulk/Bruce Banner) who shared, “There’s nothing completely at a place where it’s a done deal,” Ruffalo shared previously with Variety. “There’s some talk of having Banner/Hulk show up in She–Hulk. If we come up with something good, that would be really interesting. Right now that’s about it. That’s all there is on the table.”
It is currently unknown if Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk/Bruce Banner will merely appear in a cameo style role, reoccurring role, or as a main character in the She-Hulk series. Other casting choices besides Maslany have yet to be announced at this time. It is also unknown if the series will follow the same script as the comics for Jennifer/She-Hulk’s origin story.
