Documents have been filed for Epcot’s Frozen Expansion. The new “Frozen” attraction will be located between Norway and Mexico. It will be taking over the old Maelstrom ride and then some. The new documents were prepared for the South Florida Water Management District and the Reedy Creek Improvement District.

Frozen

It will be quite the expansion, it includes a 13,000 square foot building which will house the main attraction.

You can see the plans here… Epcot_Frozen_plans.

Disney officials said their Imagineers are still working on the design of the Frozen attraction.

Are you looking forward to the new “Frozen” attraction? I know I am!

Wishing you Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust

  1. I wish the complainers were intelligent enough to see the big picture and how clearly this is a win for everyone. It’s pretty simple to promote Norway by getting people excited about Frozen. Frozen’s art direction was inspired by places like Norway, so that’s where the connection is made. If someone wants to visit the ‘real’ Arendelle, then they can book a vacation with Adventures by Disney which has itineraries in those specific areas of Europe (ie fjord tours, etc.). I’m 99% sure there will be an Adventures by Disney booth at the exit of this attraction, along with plenty of artwork showing the comparisons between the ‘real’ landscapes and how they translated into Frozen’s art design.

  2. NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! The WHOLE purpose of World Showcase is to educate us on the ACTUAL CULTURE of the featured countries. PLEEEEEASE do NOT cheapen Norway’s culture by putting it there!!!

If anything, put it in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland, where it SPECIALIZES in the princess stories!!!!! UGH!!!!!
