Disney Teases New Look at Lakeshore Lodge Construction in Upcoming Imagineering Video
Disney fans won’t have to wait much longer for another peek behind the construction walls at Disney Lakeshore Lodge! Walt Disney Imagineering has teased that the next installment of its “Pardon Our Pixie Dust” video series will feature the highly anticipated Disney Vacation Club resort currently rising along the shores of Bay Lake.

The teaser, shared on Walt Disney Imagineering’s Instagram, offers a quick glimpse of what appears to be a large themed wooden structure positioned beside one of the resort’s water slides. In the playful clip, an Imagineer catches viewers sneaking behind the construction walls, joking, “Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. How’d you get behind these construction walls? Get otter here.” The accompanying caption keeps the otter puns flowing, inviting fans to tune in when the full episode premieres on YouTube on August 25.
The brief preview appears to line up with recent aerial construction photos we’ve shared from bioreconstruct, which showed a large themed structure and slide taking shape within The Wetlands, the resort’s expansive outdoor recreation area. The Wetlands is expected to become one of the signature features of Disney Lakeshore Lodge, bringing together nature-inspired theming with immersive Disney storytelling.
Guests staying at the resort will eventually be able to enjoy Daydream River, a relaxing lazy river winding through the landscape, Heron Shores with interactive climbing and play experiences, and Otter Springs, a splash area designed especially for younger children. Together, these spaces are designed to celebrate the beauty of wetlands while creating a family-friendly outdoor destination unlike any other Disney Vacation Club resort.

Disney Lakeshore Lodge has quite the history. Originally announced in 2018 as Reflections, A Disney Lakeside Lodge, construction came to a halt during the pandemic and many believed the project had quietly been shelved. Disney officially revived the resort in 2024 under its new Lakeshore Lodge name, with a refreshed vision inspired by nature and the landscapes that have influenced Disney artists for generations.
The resort remains on track to welcome its first guests in the summer of 2027, and if this teaser is any indication, Imagineering may be ready to start revealing even more of the resort’s themed details over the coming months.
