Silly Symphony Swings Slated for Maintenance and Safety Upgrades
If you were planning on soaring over Paradise Gardens Park later this month, you’ll need to adjust your flight path! New permits have been filed indicating that Silly Symphony Swings at Disney California Adventure is heading into a scheduled refurbishment.

Based on the latest filings, the work appears to be part of Disney’s commitment to routine safety and infrastructure maintenance. Here is what we know about the upcoming closure.
The permit for the attraction outlines several technical and safety-related updates. The “Tenant Improvement” project includes:
- Safety Upgrades: Infilling three roof hatches, removing outdated ladders, and modifying existing fall protection systems for Cast Member safety.
- Electrical Improvements: Replacing the DAN cabinet and installing a new light and GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) for the elevator.
- Audio Enhancements: Replacing the PA system, ensuring the classic “Band Concert” melodies continue to sound crisp for guests.
While these aren’t the kind of “flashy” updates guests usually see, they are vital for keeping this high-flying classic running smoothly and safely.

According to the Disneyland refurbishment calendar, Silly Symphony Swings is scheduled to close on April 27, 2026.
Currently, there is no official reopening date listed on the calendar. Typically, these types of routine maintenance periods can last anywhere from a couple of weeks to a month, depending on what the crews find once they start the work. We recommend keeping an eye on the Disneyland app if you have a trip planned for late May or June!
Is Silly Symphony Swings a must-do for your family, or do you prefer to keep your feet on the ground?
