Disney World Closure and Refurbishments for June 2022
If you are visiting Walt Disney World this summer, you’ll want to take note of the closures and refurbishments happening at the resort. Take a look at the rides and attractions that will be unavailable in June.
Beginning June 27, Canada Far and Wide in the Canada Pavilion will be closing. The building will be used for Appleseed Orchard Marketplace during the Epcot Food & Wine Festival that starts July 14. The festival will run through November 19, 2022.
The Walt Disney World Railroad remains closed in Magic Kingdom. The attraction closed at the end of 2018 to make way for work on the new TRON Lightcycle Run attraction. Construction continues on the TRON ride but there is no set reopening for the railroad. Some day we will get to ride on the railroad again!
Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park has been closed since early 2022 for its annual refurbishment. That refurbishment has gone on longer than we expected and the park doesn’t have a set reopening date. Luckily, guests wanting to visit a Disney water park can go to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort both have construction happening. New DVC Villas are coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. A new DVC tower is also coming to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
