As more hotels and restaurants reopen at Walt Disney World, executives are saying that the resort is almost back to pre-pandemic employment!
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort recently reopened with new Moana-themed rooms. Restaurants like Citricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian have reopened. And more hotels and restaurants are set to reopen by the end of the year! Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will reopen next month followed by the Port Orleans resorts and the last of the All Star resorts.
Maribeth Bisienere, senior vice president of Walt Disney World Operations, said, “We are actually on par with our pre-pandemic numbers, and we’re continuing to hire every single day.” She also shared that they expect to exceed 2019’s workforce numbers in the future.
Another spokeswoman for Disney shared that projects previously put on hold have resumed work. More jobs and employees are returning to Walt Disney World!
