Disney plans on sharing new details on Princess and the Frog Retheme next month

Splash Mountain at Disneyland and Walt Disney World will be getting rethemed to The Princess and the Frog. We recently learned that the new theme would open in 2024. Next month we will be learning more information about the retheming of the attraction.

Disney will be sharing more details about the Princess and the Frog retheme during the Essence Festival of Culture in New Orleans next month. Imagineers have also said the new ride will use new advanced storytelling techniques that feature state-of-the-art animatronics and immersive environments.

We can’t wait to find out more details about the new attraction! While we love Splash Mountain, we’re sure Disney will do an amazing job switching it to The Princess and the Frog.
