Today on Live with Kelly and Ryan Anika Noni Rose voice of Tiana let slip when the retheme of Splash Mountain would be complete.
Disney announced in 2020 that Splash Mountain would be rethemed to Princess in the Frog at both Disney World and Disneyland but other than the announcement they have not shared any further details.
All we know is that “We pick up this story after the final kiss, and join Princess Tiana and Louis on a musical adventure – featuring some of the powerful music from the film – as they prepare for their first-ever Mardi Gras performance.”

She was asked if they are making a ride and she said yes and confirmed it would be open in 2024.
We are unsure if this was an accident or like the news for Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind the opening date was revealed by those who know the actual timeline.

For now, till Disney releases more details we will have to treat this as gossip, so take this news with a grain of pixie dust. I have a feeling we will know more details at the D23 Expo in September.

I hope we will get some better people to work for Disney. Because right now since 2020 around the same year COVID-19 happened Disney has been doing some weird and not very good things theses past 2 years.
Other than that this Splash Mountain re theme is not going to share the same success as the Tower of Terror re theme or even the Paradise Pire re theme.
