Disney Imagineering Partners With Khan Academy To Bring You ‘Imagineering in a Box’

Raise your hand if you’ve watched The Imagineering Story and thought ‘I could be an Imagineer,” well now that Disney Imagineering has partnered with Khan Academy you can! Or at least take a few lessons from a few Imagineers. 

The collaboration between Disney Imagineering and Khan Academy has resulted in ‘Imagineering in a Box,’ a free online learning experience. This unique program brings together a diverse group of Disney Imagineers from around the world in a series of 32 videos, allowing each participant to learn on their own or in a classroom setting. 

Throughout the series, the Imagineers share their wide range of skills that make up their role. From story development and conceptual design, math, physics, and engineering all these skills are used to help Imagineers create those immersive and unforgettable park experiences. 

The program ranges from tutorials on engineering software to interactive exercises where learners are encouraged to use items around them and create something new. The hands-on aspect of the program allows learners to use concepts learned in the program on real-world examples and even gives them the opportunity to bring their favorite Disney stories to life. 

‘Imagineering in a Box’ hopes to ignite your curiosity, spark your creativity and encourage innovation in all program participants, whilst creating an environment that gives learners the opportunity to explore different concepts. 

So put on your creative cap, prepare to take some notes and get ready to bring the ideas you’ve dreamed up in your mind to life!
