‘The Imagineering Story‘ on Disney+ Will Give Unprecedented Access to the World of Disney Imagineering. From behind the curtain, Disney Imagineers will take viewers on a never-before-seen trip into the inner workings of Disney Parks and Attractions. The Imagineering Story will showcase the development of state of the art technology by Disney and give us a glimpse of where the magic happens in the depths of the attractions at the Disney Parks around the world. The Imagineering Story will be exclusively offered on Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+.

Rides and lands such as the Tron Coaster in Disneyland Shanghai, The Matterhorn in Disneyland, and never before seen footage inside the newest attraction coming to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland and Walt Disney World, Rise of the Resistance, will be featured in the special documentary.

Another surprise is Disney giving viewers access to the infamous uitilidor system used by Disney Cast Members to help keep the Disney Magic alive in the Parks. Yes, there really is a whole new world under Walt Disney World! We will get a tour underneath Disney’s The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL. Find out how WDW Cast Members travel without being seen by guests while in uniform, or in Disney terms, ‘in Costume’.

Disney+ is set to launch on November 12, 2019, Disney+ will be the dedicated streaming home for movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more, together, for the first time. From The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-to-Consumer and International segment, Disney+ will offer ad-free programming with a variety of original feature-length films, documentaries, live-action and animated series and short-form content.

The service will launch in select geographic territories, including U.S., Canada, and The Netherlands, followed shortly thereafter by Australia and New Zealand, with the expectation to be available in all major markets within the first two-years. Visit DisneyPlus.com to learn more.

The Imagineering Story is not to be confused with the docu-series being developed by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, called Behind the Attraction. True that the two will cover unknown details about attractions at the Disney Parks, it appears Behind the Attraction will focus more on the development and history of the attractions, while The Imagineering Story will be more about how the attractions come to life, as told by Disney Imagineers, and where the technology is leading Disney in the future. Both the documentary and the docu-series will be insightful for Disney Fans who love to see how Disney Magic is made at the Disney Parks and beyond.
