Toys for Tots and Disney Make a Difference Together
Toys for Tots and Disney have once again partnered up once again. This year the Walt Disney Company celebrated over 75 years of working with the Toys for Tots program by hosting the first-ever toy distribution event at Walt Disney World itself.
Mickey was even there dressed in his best Santa suit to greet the families.
This year cast and guests alike donated more than 40,000 toys to help bring the joy of the holiday season to local children and families in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties.

“We couldn’t do what we do without the support of Disney,” said Lt. Gen. Jim Laster, President & CEO of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. “We are so appreciative of the extra assistance and happiness cast members are bringing to families in need this year in hosting a distribution site. The pure smiles on faces speak for themselves!”

Disney VoluntEARS
Disney VoluntEARS were a huge part of what made this event a success. This year alone they spent almost 4,000 hours collecting toys and assisting with the sorting and distribution process at local Toys for Tots warehouses.
“My family was always supported by Toys for Tots, so I know firsthand that this is a really wonderful resource for families,” Disney VoluntEAR Karen shared. “This is my 30th year with The Walt Disney Company and every year, I help Toys for Tots. I’m so proud to work for a company that supports this and helps make sure every child has a gift to open this holiday season.”
So much time, work, and love goes into the Toys for Tots toy distribution. It’s because of all these great organizations coming together that children of families in need will have a present waiting for them under the tree this Christmas.

Lend a Hand
Do you donate to Toys for Tots? If you do please keep in mind some of the pre-teens and teens that are in need also. Toys for Tots rarely receives enough donations to fill those requests.
