“Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for D23!”
D23, The Official Disney Fan Club, has announced an exclusive member event that includes a presentation by Disney Legend Marty Sklar and screening of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) in anticipation of the May 26th release of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. The event, which takes place on May 13th, 2017 at AMC Disney Springs 24 at 10 AM, will also help mark the 50th anniversary of the Pirates of the Caribbean Attraction at Disneyland Park.
Marty Sklar, former vice chairman and principal creative executive of Walt Disney Imagineering, will be on hand to share some behind-the-scenes knowledge of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction that debuted in Disneyland Park in 1967 and went on to inspire the iconic movie series. Sklar will be sharing secrets of the attraction with artwork, photography, and other rare materials that you will not want to miss!
Following Sklar’s presentation, guests can enjoy a screening of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) and follow along as Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth Swann, and Will Turner take on Captain Barbossa and his crew. It’s a swashbuckling adventure for all!
Tickets for this event go on sale on March 28th at 10 AM PST. To attend the event, you must be a D23 Gold or Gold Family Member. Not yet a member? Click here.
