Chris Pine Says Star Wars ‘Rogue Squadron’ Story is “Really, Really Great”. Star Wars fans have plenty to be excited about in the coming years! During The Walt Disney Company Investor Day 2020 we saw the introduction of several new projects from Star Wars including a new film titled, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy shared that Patty Jenkins (Wonder Woman) is set to direct the new title.
It comes as no surprise that Jenkins would be excited to embark on this new journey, and getting the chance to share a new story within the Star Wars Universe is just too much to keep to yourself! During an interview with Collider, Wonder Woman 1984 star Chris Pine shared that Jenkins told him some of her ideas for the film, and expressed his excitement both for Jenkins and the mysterious storyline she has been working on.
Pine told Collider, “I had spoken to her about, not my involvement, but the story. She talked to me about it. It sounds really, really great. But I’m ecstatic for her, excited for what she’s about to embark on. If there’s anyone that can reimagine and breathe fresh, new life into it, it’s her.”
Not much is known about the new film and no casting choices have been announced at this time, but we would love to hear which titles you are excited for in the coming years from Lucasfilm!
