Disney Promises Better Pizza for Monstropolis Restaurant Replacing PizzeRizzo
PizzeRizzo may be gone, but Disney is apparently determined not to repeat its pizza reputation when Monstropolis opens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney recently shared that Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza, the quick-service restaurant replacing PizzeRizzo, will feature all-new kitchen equipment along with an upgraded pizza recipe aimed at delivering a noticeably better pie.

The new equipment will play a big role in the changes, with Disney chefs specifically focused on getting the bottom of the crust properly cooked before piling on the toppings. Cast Members are currently testing recipes for Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza as well as Harryhausen’s, another dining location coming to Monstropolis. Disney says the menus are being designed to remain approachable for families while improving the overall quality, though specific dishes have not yet been revealed.
Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza will take over the former PizzeRizzo space as part of the new Monsters, Inc.-themed land, which is expected to begin opening in phases in 2027. An exact opening date for the restaurant has not yet been announced, but at least we now know Disney is putting some extra dough into making sure the pizza gets an upgrade.
